BYU is a 6.5-point favorite this weekend in Fort Worth, TX, as it looks to keep its undefeated season alive against TCU.

My BYU vs. TCU prediction and college football picks have the Horned Frogs live as underdogs as they look to bounce back from last weekend's loss to UCF.

Kickoff for this weekend's highly anticipated Big 12 showdown is set for Saturday, October 3, at 7 p.m. ET from Amon G. Carter Stadium, with the game airing on ESPN.

Who will win BYU vs TCU: TCU +6.5

Playable to 54%.

The public perception of TCU isn't great after a pair of early-season losses to North Carolina and UCF, but much of the Horned Frogs' struggles early in 2026 have been due to self-inflicted wounds.

In their season opener, TCU committed 11 penalties, allowed a safety, fumbled, and was stopped on downs twice on fourth-and-short. It's easy to see how the outcome of that game could have been different.

Last weekend, TCU had more first downs and was +77 in net yards against UCF, but four turnovers and 11 penalties led to a one-score loss.

BYU vs TCU Over/Under pick: Under 47.5

Playable to 52%.

BYU's offensive metrics look dominant early in 2026, but it scored 63 points against Utah Tech and 41 points against Colorado State. Utah Tech is an FCS program that doesn't have the size or speed to be competitive on the road against a ranked FBS opponent. Colorado State has allowed 100 combined points in its last two games.

BYU's offense was much less impressive in its home matchup against Arizona, managing only 365 yards of total offense and 17 first downs.

TCU's offensive line has been overwhelmed by lesser opponents and allowed a ghastly 45.7% pressure rate in Week 4 against UCF. The Horned Frogs haven't been able to create much running room either, averaging 1.2 yards per carry against UCF, 3.4 yards per carry against Arkansas State, and 2.7 yards per carry against North Carolina.

Points could be at a premium on Saturday.

 TOP PICK

BYU vs TCU prop: BYU Under 27.5 points

Playable to 58%.

TCU's defense has played at a high level early in 2026. North Carolina managed only 15 points against TCU in the season opener but scored 55 points across its subsequent two games. UCF scored 44 points and had 390 yards of total offense the week before TCU held it to 21 points and 266 yards.

BYU's offense could struggle in Week 5.
