Temple vs South Florida: Temple Temple +6.5

Kalshi probability: 51%

We have one of the most overrated teams in college football (South Florida) taking on one of the most underrated teams (Temple), and the underdog is very capable of pulling the outright upset.

South Florida is 4-0, but it should have one or two losses. USF was out-gained by 173 yards in the opener to FIU. In Week 2, they got a 38-yard touchdown pass on fourth down with 19 seconds left to beat Army. Last week, USF trailed Bowling Green — a bottom-five team in my power ratings — 6-0 entering the fourth quarter.

On the other side, Temple is 1-3, and it should have at least one more win, maybe two.

Two weeks ago, the Owls led Toledo by 14 with two minutes left. They ended up losing in overtime. Last week, Toledo out-gained Army by 129 yards but gave up a touchdown in the final two minutes and lost again.

What would this line be if you changed just a couple of plays and both teams were 2-2? South Florida -3? That’s where the value lies.

Finally, we have a huge coaching edge here. Temple head coach KC Keeler is coaching his 401st game. South Florida head coach Brian Hartline is coaching his fifth.

I would play this to Temple +6.

Kentucky vs South Carolina: Over 53.5

Kalshi probability: 52%

The market has not caught up to the upgrade in offensive coaching for either team this year.

Kentucky hired new head coach Will Stein who was the offensive coordinator at Oregon. The Wildcats' offensive numbers are up across the board, averaging 11.5 more points per game, 1.7 more yards per play, and 82 more yards per game than they did a year ago.

On the other side, South Carolina brought in Kendall Briles as its new offensive coordinator. Despite a 2-2 start, the South Carolina offense has not been the issue.

The Gamecocks are averaging 15.8 more points per game, 1.5 more yards per play, and 163 more yards per game than last season.

Kentucky has seen all three of its games vs. FBS opponents go Over the total this season by an average of 9.5 points. Similarly, South Carolina has also seen all three of its games vs. FBS opponents go Over the total by an average of 11 points.

Add the two together, and you have my favorite totals bet of the week.

I would play this to 54.

Baylor vs Arizona State: Arizona State Arizona State -3.5

Kalshi probability: 51%

My power ratings make Arizona State a 5-point favorite, and Kalshi has the absolute best price in the market.

I also like the schedule spot here for Arizona State, which is coming off a bye week. In the Sun Devils' last two games, they traveled to Texas A&M and then to London to face Kansas.

When conference play starts, one of my handicapping staples is evaluating the strength-of-schedule disparities between two teams.

In this case, Arizona State has played the 36th-toughest schedule so far (per Sagarin Ratings), while Baylor has played the 81st.

Despite the tougher schedule, Arizona State has been the more dominant team statistically, with a plus-1.7 yards-per-play margin compared to Baylor's plus-1.1.

Finally, pay attention to the market. Last Saturday, Baylor went from a 10-point favorite to an 8-point favorite vs. Colorado. Baylor won by 10 but should not have, as it was outgained 363-337, and the yards per play were even.

We have the better team, at home and in the better scheduling spot.

I would play this to -4.
