CFB Week 6 preview with Andrew Caley and Douglas Farmer

Wisconsin vs Michigan best bet

Michigan -16.5 (-124 at FanDuel)

Wisconsin has no viable offense, one that effectively moves backward whenever it tries to pass the ball, and that flaw alone renders almost any college football team toothless in 2025. Defensively, the Badgers are good but not great, and opponents are able and willing to cut Wisconsin to the ground via moderate pass... after moderate pass... after moderate pass.

See our full analysis and Badgers/Wolverines SGP in our Wisconsin vs. Michigan predictions.

Kentucky vs Georgia best bet

Georgia first half -10.5 (-120 at FanDuel)

Georgia will load up the box on Saturday and dare new Kentucky QB Cutter Boley to beat them with his arm, which is something this Wildcats offense isn’t built to do. Boley looked lost much of the game against South Carolina, making poor reads and forcing passes into coverage. It’s hard to see him suddenly turning things around in another hostile environment, which means Gunner Stockton and the Georgia offense should get plenty of opportunities to score in the first half.

See our full analysis and Wildcats/Bulldogs SGP in our Kentucky vs. Georgia predictions.

Air Force vs Navy best bet

Navy -12.5 (-112 at FanDuel)

Air Force is probably a touch better than Rice (who Navy allowed to backdoor cover last week), but it is crucial to recognize that Navy does not like its aerial rival. The Midshipmen are less likely to let up on the gas; they want to rout the Falcons — and they should be able to, facing one of the bottom-20 defenses in the country... and one that is noticeably poor against the run.

See our full analysis and Falcons/Midshipmen SGP in our Air Force vs. Navy predictions.

Clemson vs North Carolina best bet

North Carolina team total Under 16.5 (-120 at FanDuel)

Clemson’s defense isn’t perfect, but the Tar Heels couldn’t score more than 14 against a TCU defense that allowed 21 points to Abilene Christian, and they scored fewer points against UCF than Jacksonville State — they aren’t scoring 17+ against the Tigers.

See our full analysis and Tigers/Tar Heels SGP in our Clemson vs. North Carolina predictions.

Iowa State vs Cincinnati best bet

Iowa State moneyline (+106 at FanDuel)

While QB Brendan Sorsby and receiver Cyrus Allen have been dangerous for the Bearcats, Iowa State’s secondary allows fewer than 10 yards per completion and only five scoring strikes. I’m betting on ISU’s ability to win the turnover battle, extend clock-winding drives, and its stingy defense paving the way to victory.

See our full analysis and Cyclones/Bearcats SGP in our Iowa State vs. Cincinnati predictions.

Illinois vs Purdue best bet

Illinois -9.5 (-118 at FanDuel)

Illinois quarterback Luke Altmyer has been effective all season, throwing 11 touchdowns without an interception, and is coming off a 328-yard performance against USC. He should lead the Illini to more than enough points to blow out a Purdue offense that has been largely one-dimensional without much of a ground game.

See our full analysis and Fighting Illini/Boilermakers SGP in our Illinois vs. Purdue predictions.

Army vs UAB best bet

Army -7 (-110 at FanDuel)

To slow down the triple-option offense, discipline and focus are paramount. Dilfer lacks both. Thus, so do the Blazers. There is a reason Trent Dilfer has gone just 1-4 against the spread against triple-option teams.

Kansas State vs Baylor best bet

Kansas State +6.5 (-110 at FanDuel)

Kansas State started the season shockingly bad, and looked good after getting a bye to reset... and getting their best player back.

Boston College vs Pittsburgh best bet

Boston College +6.5 (-110 at FanDuel)

Pitt is not a well-coached team, they are fundamentally undisciplined, and banged up — I can't lay this number with a team I don't trust.
