Wizards vs Hornets
- Time: 7 p.m.
- TV: MNTM
- Analyst: Tom Oldfield
Combo: 5.00x
- Over 227.5
- Hornets moneyline
- Brandon Miller Over 23.5 points
Tom Oldfield expects a fast-paced game in Charlotte, but he trusts the Hornets to make the key defensive stops when it matters. Charlotte went 16-6 straight up as a home favorite last season, while Washington struggled mightily away from home with a 6-35 road record.
The Hornets showed their toughness at Spectrum Center on Saturday, handling a physical matchup against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo. Naz Reid's outside shooting should also help stretch Washington's defense by pulling Anthony Davis away from the paint, giving Charlotte more room to operate offensively.
Brandon Miller rounds out the 4.00x combo after scoring 34 points in his last outing despite some shooting struggles. He also reached 20 points in all three meetings with the Wizards last season, and with Kon Knueppel and Coby White sidelined, Miller should continue to see the volume needed to clear 23.5 points.
Oldfield explains why Charlotte's home-court edge and Miller's scoring opportunities make this three-leg combo worth targeting in his full Wizards vs Hornets predictions.
Timberwolves vs Cavaliers
- Time: 7 p.m.
- TV: NDAZN-MIN, WUAB
- Analyst: Chris Walder
Combo: 7.70x
- Cavaliers moneyline
- Over 233.5
- Donovan Mitchell Over 4.5 rebounds
Chris Walder is backing Cleveland to end Minnesota's unbeaten start, with the Timberwolves playing the second night of a back-to-back after beating Toronto on Sunday. The Cavaliers have won three of their last four meetings with Minnesota, and the two clubs have gone Over the total in four straight head-to-head matchups.
Donovan Mitchell rounds out the combo after averaging 7.5 rebounds through two games. He's also cleared 4.5 boards in five of his last eight meetings with Minnesota, although the Timberwolves have been one of the league's toughest rebounding opponents to start the season.
Walder explains why Cleveland's rest advantage and Mitchell's rebounding opportunities make this an appealing combination in his full Timberwolves vs Cavaliers predictions.
Bulls vs Celtics
- Time: 7:30 p.m.
- TV: CHSN, NBCS-Boston
- Analyst: Zak Hanshew
Combo: 6.15x
- Over 233.5
- Bulls +14.5
- Caleb Wilson Over 24.5 points + rebounds + assists
Zak Hanshew expects plenty of points in Boston, where the Bulls bring one of the NBA's fastest offenses against a Celtics defense sitting outside the top 20 in defensive rating.
Chicago is allowing 128 points per game, but Hanshew believes the 14.5-point spread is too generous for a Boston team that has struggled defensively. He's backing the Bulls to stay competitive while both offenses push the total Over 233.5.
Rookie Caleb Wilson completes the 6.15x combo after posting 28 and 47 PRA in his last two outings. Wilson leads Chicago in usage rate and field-goal attempts, giving him the volume to clear 24.5 PRA in a favorable matchup.
Hanshew breaks down all three legs and Wilson's expanding role in his full Bulls vs Celtics predictions.
Mavericks vs Heat
- Time: 7:30 p.m.
- TV: NBA TV, KFAA-TV, MavsTV
- Analyst: Chris Walder
Combo: 5.17x
- Heat moneyline
- Under 239.5 points
- Klay Thompson Over 2.5 threes
The Heat are still searching for their first victory of the season, but Chris Walder believes Monday offers an opportunity against an injury-hit Dallas team.
Rather than asking Miami to cover a large spread, Walder uses the Heat moneyline as the foundation of his combo. He's also backing Under 239.5 points, with six of the last nine meetings between these teams finishing below the total.
Klay Thompson supplies the player prop after averaging three made threes on eight attempts per game. Thompson has already cleared 2.5 triples twice this season, and his shooting volume gives the final leg a chance even if Dallas struggles offensively.
Walder explains why Miami should finally break through and how Thompson's perimeter volume fits the combo in his full Mavericks vs Heat predictions.
Suns vs Thunder
- Time: 8 p.m.
- TV: KTVK-IND, KSBI-IND
- Analyst: Ed Scimia
Combo: 5.63x
- Under 221.5
- Thunder -9.5
- Chet Holmgren 2+ blocks
Oklahoma City has covered in two of its first three games, with two double-digit victories already on the board. The Thunder have beaten the Nuggets and Spurs comfortably, and their defensive strength gives them a good chance to pull away from Phoenix, even in a lower-scoring matchup.
That makes Thunder -9.5 and Under 221.5 a combination worth considering. Oklahoma City doesn't need a high-scoring game to cover a sizable spread, particularly if its defense controls the pace and limits Phoenix's scoring opportunities.
Chet Holmgren completes the 5.63x combo with 2+ blocks. He's averaging three blocks per game to open the season and recorded four against both Denver and San Antonio. With a career average of 2.2 blocks per game, Holmgren has a strong track record of protecting the rim and provides a logical third leg alongside Oklahoma City's defense.
Scimia explains why Oklahoma City's ability to cover big spreads and Chet Holmgren's shot-blocking prowess make this three-leg combo worth targeting in his full Suns vs Thunder predictions.
Hawks vs Rockets
- Time: 8:30 p.m.
- TV: WANF, SCHN
- Analyst: Juan Carlos Blanco
Combo: 5.39x
- Under 230.5 points
- Nickeil Alexander-Walker Under 24.5 points + rebounds + assists
- Amen Thompson 9+ rebounds
Juan Carlos Blanco is backing a lower-scoring contest at Toyota Center, where Houston has consistently played stronger defense. Although the total is relatively high at 230.5 points, the Rockets' defensive strength at home gives the Under an appealing foundation for this three-leg combination.
Blanco also expects Nickeil Alexander-Walker's recent shooting struggles to continue against a healthy Houston backcourt. The Rockets should provide a tougher defensive challenge on their home floor, making Under 24.5 points, rebounds, and assists an attractive second leg.
Amen Thompson rounds out the 5.39x combo with 9+ rebounds. Thompson has started the season strongly on the glass, and Houston's ability to force missed shots should create additional opportunities for him to collect boards. That defensive advantage ties all three selections together, with a lower-scoring game script potentially helping both the Under and Thompson's rebounding total.
Blanco explains why Houston's home defense, Alexander-Walker's shooting struggles, and Thompson's rebounding opportunities make this three-leg combo worth targeting in his full Hawks vs Rockets predictions.
Grizzlies vs Jazz
- Time: 9 p.m.
- TV: KJZZ, DAZN-Memphis
- Analyst: Shawn Krest
Combo: 9.0x
- Grizzlies moneyline
- Under 238.5
- Cameron Boozer Over 9.5 rebounds
Memphis has changed its identity with Cameron Boozer as the centerpiece instead of Ja Morant. With veteran Ty Jerome running the offense, the Grizzlies have slowed things down considerably, making the Under 238.5 an appealing leg in this three-part combo.
Memphis has gone Under in two of its first three games, with those contests producing just 219 and 226 combined points. Even its lone Over came against a relatively modest 234.5-point total, giving us reason to believe this matchup could stay below the number.
Boozer provides the player prop after grabbing at least 10 rebounds in every game this season. He also tied for the national lead with 22 double-doubles at Duke last year, making Over 9.5 rebounds an intriguing underdog selection to complete a Grizzlies victory and lower-scoring contest.
Krest explains why Memphis’ slower pace and Boozer’s dominance on the glass make this three-leg combo worth targeting in his full Grizzlies vs Jazz predictions.
