Indiana enters Milwaukee as a 4.5-point favorite, but the Bucks’ strong starting unit and the Pacers’ injury issues create value on the home side, with two player props also standing out.

My Pacers vs. Bucks prediction starts with Indiana laying 4.5 points Monday at 8 p.m. ET at Fiserv Forum, with the total at 238.5.

Milwaukee covered all three meetings last season, and Indiana enters shorthanded. That combination has me eyeing the home underdog, plus two player props.

For more analysis across Monday’s slate, check out our NBA picks page before tip off.

 TOP PICK
Pacers vs Bucks prediction: Bucks +4.5

The Milwaukee Bucks +4.5 are tradable down to +3.5 against an Indiana Pacers squad missing one starter, with a few key bench players banged up, too.

Pacers big Ivica Zubac probably won't play after rolling his ankle in their 136-109 win over the Brooklyn Nets Sunday and leaving Barclays Center on crutches.

Indiana backup PG T.J. McConnell hasn't made his season debut yet and is doubtful for Monday, and SG Ben Sheppard tore his meniscus on opening night.

Finally, the market's perception of the Bucks is worse than their roster. They were projected to finish with the second-fewest wins in the Eastern Conference preseason (25.5).

But Milwaukee has dudes, including All-Star combo guard Tyler Herro and two-time block champion C Myles Turner.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Milwaukee’s 0-3 record looks worse than its starting lineup has played. The Bucks’ starters own a +18.2 net rating, while lineups featuring a reserve are -19.5. That gap suggests Milwaukee’s ceiling is higher than its early results indicate.

Pacers vs Bucks combo

Milwaukee winning outright gives this combo more juice, and the two props can cash in in the same fast-paced game.

Indiana pushing tempo should create extra possessions and clean perimeter looks for combo guard Andrew Nembhard, while Milwaukee will need Herro heavily involved offensively to keep pace.

That’s the correlation I want here. The Pacers can generate enough offense for Nembhard to get loose from deep without necessarily winning the game, while Herro carries Milwaukee’s scoring load and gives the Bucks a path to finish the job at home.

Pacers vs Bucks combo

  • Milwaukee +4.5
  • Andrew Nembhard 2+ made threes
  • Tyler Herro 25+ points

Pacers vs Bucks player props

Pacers player prop: Andrew Nembhard 2+ made threes

As long as Andrew Nembhard 2+ made threes stays below 50%, I'm in. Obviously, it's a small sample, but Nembhard has a career-best 70.0% true shooting rate through three games, which accounts for 2-point, 3-point, and free-throw shooting.

With Zubac out, I'm expecting the Pacers to get out in transition and chuck more 3-pointers. Indiana PG Tyrese Haliburton is one of the best offensive creators in basketball, and forward Pascal Siakam commands a ton of defensive attention from the opponent.

At this price, I don't need him to stay this hot. I just need the volume and shot quality to be there.

Bucks player prop: Tyler Herro 25+ points

I'm good with Tyler Herro's 25+ points prop up to 48%.

Milwaukee's offense is already running through Herro. He has the team's highest usage rate, with the next-closest Buck sitting 6.1 percentage points lower.

That matters because Herro led the 2024-25 Miami Heat with 23.9 points per game while carrying a lower usage rate than he has in his first three games with Milwaukee.

The environment helps, too. Both teams play fast and have below-average defenses, giving Herro more possessions to get there.

He's an elite shooter, converting 87.7% from the line and 38.2% from deep in his career, and hitting 41.7% of his threes this season.
