Against the spread (ATS) pick

The last time the Pelicans and Clippers met, Los Angeles won 111-106 as an 11.5-point favorite at the Staples Center. Both of these teams have been somewhat hard to read since then, but it is important to note that Zion Williamson and Lonzo Ball did not play in that first meeting.

Williamson has been one of the best offensive players in the entire league this season, so that absence was a massive one, but Ball has also been much improved this year. On top of playing some solid defense across multiple positions, Ball also happens to be shooting 38.1 percent from deep this year. Having the two of them on the floor will be huge for the Pelicans, who should be amped up to play at home against one of the best teams in the league.

New Orleans is going to miss the shooting of JJ Redick in this one but the team should still be able to keep this game close. While Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are both remarkable defensively, Brandon Ingram has shown that he is capable of scoring against anybody and is coming off a 28-point performance against the Cavaliers.

He should be able to turn in another nice performance in this one, especially with most of the attention going towards Williamson. The Clippers have good defenders all throughout the rotation, but they do not have anybody that is capable of checking Zion. The 20-year-old phenom is averaging 25.5 points per game on 61.4 percent shooting from the floor this season, and his energy in a game like this is going to make a big difference.

PREDICTION: Pelicans +6 (-105)

Over/Under pick

The Over has hit in 16 of the Pelicans' 20 home games this season, and this game features a matchup between two of the Top-7 offenses in the league in terms of offensive rating.

Both clubs are loaded with players that know how to score the ball, and for as many good defenders that there are in this game, the matchups aren’t exactly great for any of them.

Look for this to be a track meet of a contest, with all of the superstars on the floor making their presence felt. And don’t be shocked if a few role players – like Nicolas Batum or Josh Hart – get it going tonight.

PREDICTION: Over 236.0 (-110)

Player prop pick

Eric Bledsoe has gone three games without reaching double figures, but that should end tonight.

This game is going to be an up-and-down contest, and that suits his style of play perfectly. Even if Bledsoe isn’t making his outside shots, he should be able to get out in transition and get some easy buckets.

PREDICTION: Eric Bledsoe Over 11.5 Points (-118)
