It's what the World Baseball Classic is all about. We get a win or go matchup between Canada and Cuba on the final day of pool play, with the winner moving on to the quarterfinals, and predictions are betting on some great pitching.

Canada pulled off the upset vs. Puerto Rico in a true road game, setting up a winner-take-all matchup against Cuba.

The Canadians not only advance but also win the pool with a victory. However, they’re out entirely with a loss. Cuba will earn the second spot with a win, with Puerto Rico winning the pool in that situation.

This is setting up to be a great game, and Canada vs. Cuba predictions and World Baseball Classic picks are locked in on the total for this pivotal Pool C game on Wednesday, March 11.

Canada vs Cuba prediction

Canada vs Cuba best bet: Under 8.5 (-115 at DraftKings)

This is a really intriguing matchup.

Canada has been the better-hitting team overall, with Cuba batting just .170. However, they’ve shown more power with four home runs.

Then we get a great pitching matchup as Cal Quantrill faces Liván Moinelo.

Quantrill is looking to earn a spot with the Texas Rangers this season and has a 4.35 ERA over seven big-league seasons.

Meanwhile, Moinelo is coming off a great season in the NPB with the Softbank Hawks, pitching to a 1.46 ERA over 167 innings.

An intense, well-pitched game like this has "Under" written all over it.

Canada vs Cuba same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 8.5

Canada team total Over 4.5

Canada moneyline

Cuba has a great starter on the mound, but the staff overall has had a problem putting runners on, pitching to a 1.38 WHIP in four games. Canada’s penchant for contact will allow it to take advantage of that and drive in some extra runs.

Canada’s pitching staff has done an excellent job of zapping power in this tournament and has yet to allow a home run. If Cuba isn’t going yard, it isn't scoring.

This should be a close matchup, and I like Canada to come out on top at the end of the day.

Owen Caissie best bet: 2+ total bases (+155 at DraftKings)

Miami Marlins fans should get excited because prospect Owen Caissie looks legit. The Canadian outfielder is 6-for-11 with three doubles and a home run so far in the WBC. We’re looking at a great price for another 2+ total bases day from the 23-year-old Canadian.
