I had an old math teacher that would say "statistics don't lie but liars figure the statistics," meaning anyone can skew their stat to back their argument.  Tappy has found the rushing total yards  and that is the stat he uses while mbialowas has found another stat that has him further down due to YPC.  This is a prime example of my former teachers quote.  

Its up to us to decide what stat means the most to you and to make the decision for ourselves.  Yes Henry does have the most rushing yards, but when he has so many more attempts than others, Im of the opinion that hs not the best in the county.  For me, you have to go by YPC.  So while that's my opinion and my prerogative, its not fact and its anyone else's prerogative to agree to disagree.

You failed to mention that he is also leading in TD's.. Ya know, those things that matter more than any of those stats?

This is just kind of a really dumb comment. I'm not sure what you are getting at. I'm not "putting my pride in other people's accomplishments". Dude, rooting for the team you like and think will win is the entire basis of watching sports. For some of us that includes cash bonuses and vacations. What do you mean why do you guys care so much? This is a capping thread...wtf we have dollars on the line not yen. You're completely correct... all the conferences are equal in skill level.

I respect your opinion... I just guess that a lot of it has to do with the fact that I just LOVE Alabama and have all my life. My whole family are fans, mother, father who passed away. When I see a player like Henry fighting for his team like he does, it just makes me so proud...

B/c I thought you were smart enough to deduce that I had implied that if others had as many touches as he did, that he may not be the leader.

That's what I thought was a sham the fact that he didn't get enough votes to get an invite.

This is true, we will never know for certain, but we can always prorate.  

Prorated, If Cook had as many carries as Henry he would have 27.  Elliott wold have more, Breida, Hood, etc. would all have more, but you get the idea.  

But whatever, doesn't really matter.  You like Henry and that's your right.  I just don't give him much credit to due to the over-whelming amount of carries and his stout O-line.  I just don't think hes anything special.

I dont have a dog in this fight but Henry ran for 12,000 + yards in high school- I kept saying he was nothing special but he keeps putting up numbers. Is Cook or Fornette better? Maybe so but you have to give the kid credit for putting the team on his back and doing what he does- 

I do know the relax diick is the biggest douche bag on this site- I out cap him all day long and treat people respectfully- he is just a young, broke punk who wont bet jimmy money because he doesn't have any

The off linemen for Bama are up and down top 10 recruits out of high school. The center for Bama is a stud who will play on Sunday's. If I put Dalcin Cook back there, or Fournette, we still have the same yardage, but more versatility and dynamic play making, esp with Cook.

Lots of love for Sparty in this spot based on what OSU did to Bama last year.
Forget that comparison.
Sparty has no Zeke Elliott.
Plus Sparty's safetys stink unlike OSU's.Plus Sparty does not have offensive speed. Burbridge is good but is not a deep threat like Devin Smith was.
Bama will be able to throw deep in this game to set up easier scores.
Revenge spot for Saban from last year.
The play is Bama or no play.
A decent prop might be over passing yards for Jake Coker.

2 very solid guys above here ^^^^ who disagree totally with all the alabama rhetoric....whilst understanding that there will always be opposing views on any given game it just makes the notion that michigan state has next to zero chance of covering(as spouted by a few early on) seem ludicrous.

oh boy,this thread is gonna be fun if spartans actually sumhow find a way to win....dont spend a whole lot of time in the college football forum but i'll definitely be back for that one.

Understand what you are saying and maybe that was a poor choice of words on my part, but it just seems that people take OTHERS OPINIONS way too personal. That is really all I meant.
