With the Panthers' line and linebackers making running room scarce, and with Odunze hobbled by a leg injury, Williams may be looking to the tight ends to help spark the offense. Loveland could be on the verge of a breakout season after scoring six touchdowns in 11 starts as a rookie last year. That tied for the team lead, and he also led the Bears in receiving yards. Loveland impressed observers during training camp with his ability to get open and his reliable hands. He's also improved his ability to add yards after the catch.

Bryce Young threw 11 interceptions last year – the highest tally in his NFL career to date – and Week 1 has been a particular horror show for the Panthers QB.

He’s tossed two picks in each of his season openers, and it’s tough to ignore a Bears defense that came away with 23 interceptions in 2025.

Allen averaged 45.7 receiving yards per game last season and remains a dependable underneath target for Jones. Baltimore struggled badly against the pass in 2025, and Allen does not need much volume to clear 25 yards. A few short completions could be enough to cash this modest number.

Henry remains Baltimore’s preferred finisher near the goal line after scoring 16 rushing touchdowns last season, including 10 from inside the 20. With Jackson creating additional stress on Indianapolis’ front seven, Henry should see quality red-zone opportunities and is my favorite touchdown scorer in this matchup.

This prop is in play to -115 because I'm expecting the Falcons to lean on the running game and Robinson to handle six to eight carries. As a result, he only needs one chunk run to be sitting pretty and clear this total. Of course, Robinson has plenty of upside in a secondary role and rushed for a rock-solid 3.1 yards per carry after contact with a 77.4 PFF elusive rating in 2025.

I'd recommend betting Pitts to score to +325 in Week 1 because he's a matchup nightmare and is coming off a career-high 88 receptions while interestingly playing a career-high 88% of offensive snaps last year. The Steelers also allowed the fourth-most receptions to the position in 2025, including 11 touchdowns, so this is a sneaky matchup because of Pitts’ versatility in the passing attack. He lined up in the slot on 34.7% of his offensive snaps and out wide on another 20.3%. Finally, I also value Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski leaning on his tight ends for 18 receiving touchdowns across the past two years with the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns drafted a pair of highly-regarded wideouts during training camp this summer, KC Concepcion and Denzel Boston, both of whom have performed well throughout training camp and the preseason. That has left Jerry Jeudy, last year's top Cleveland wideout, as an overlooked option in the team's offense heading into Week 1. HC Todd Monken is moving Jeudy from X to Z in the team's passing attack in 2026, which should create more free releases for him and opportunities for easy catches in space. Following the draft in April, GM Andrew Berry referred to Jeudy as the team's "bell cow."

Nick Galaida logo

The Jaguars drafted Nate Boerkircher in the 2nd round this past summer, in part, to take some blocking responsibilities off of Brenton Strange. The idea was to get Strange more involved as a pass-catcher and to preserve his stamina by taking him off of some of the tougher blocking assignments he faced in 1-on-1 situations in 2025.

Cleveland's top coverage linebacker, Carson Schwesinger, missed the majority of training camp with a shoulder injury. Buffalo's tight ends had their way with Cleveland's defense in a joint practice with Schwesinger off of the field.

Schwesinger is expected to play in Week 1, but he might not be at full strength. Strange could be the primary beneficiary of any lapses in coverage in the middle of the field.

This prop is in play to +100 because St. Brown has scored double-digit touchdowns in three consecutive seasons, and he garnered a 38.9% target share in the red zone last year which translated into pacing all receivers in red-zone targets and receptions. St. Brown also finished third in PFF receiving grade last season, so I’m anticipating the rejigged New Orleans secondary to have their hands full covering St. Brown on Sunday. In particular, second-year defensive back Jonas Sanker is set to debut as the slot corner after playing safety as a rookie in 2025, and St. Brown lined up in the slot on 55.7% of his offensive snaps.

This prop is in play to -125 because Goff tied for a league-high 80.2 adjusted completion percentage last year, which included a 69.0 completion percentage at Ford Field. He connected for 23 or more passes in five of his eight home games, too. This is also a good matchup. New Orleans ranked eighth in run defense DVOA with the second-lowest rushing success rate allowed while also generating pressure at the eighth-highest clip in the league in 2025. So, with Detroit sending out a reshuffled and new-look offensive line, I expect Goff to attack New Orleans through the air with quick, underneath passes to pile up completions early and often.

Stroud completed 20 and 21 passes in two cold weather postseason outings, which are keeping his Week 1 completions total low. Stroud has better protection, more options at receiver, and more importantly, he’s playing at home on the fast clean track of NRG Stadium in Week 1. Stroud’s career indoor/outdoor splits are dramatic, with the fourth-year QB seeing his completion rate slip to 59% outside versus 66% indoors. He averages more than 21 completions per game at home against 18.3 in open-air venues. Forecasts all sit north of 20 completions versus Buffalo with a high of 22.

The TD markets believe Kincaid is the top TE option in the end zone. He’s coming off a 2025 in which he led all TEs in targets per route run and scored seven total touchdowns over the course of the season. Houston’s defense doesn’t have many cracks but of the 20 total receiving touchdowns it allowed last year, eight of those strikes came from tight ends. Kincaid ranks out better versus man coverage, which the Texans run exclusively, and projections have me taking his 1+ touchdown markets as high as 29%.

This is the best +EV touchdown per the projections at Covers. The fair probability is 32.3% vs. this 28.4%. This Vikings offense might have the best quarterback play it's had in a season, and Jordan Addison should see plenty of single coverage with the eyes on Justin Jefferson. The Packers' defense is another good unit to fade after it fell apart last year without Micah Parsons. The change at defensive coordinator adds another wrinkle to this Packers defense.

Murray has a good idea of the defense he’ll face in Week 1. He played it every day in practice for the past three years. Former Arizona coach Jonathan Gannon is the new defensive coordinator in Green Bay. On top of being able to find Jefferson and Jordan Addison for deep TD connections, Murray’s ability to make plays outside the pocket gives O’Connell a new twist inside the 20-yard line. He has excellent jump ball options in burly WR Jauan Jennings and TE T.J. Hockenson. Projections tick as high as 1.6 TD passes and isn’t here just to hand the ball off. I’d play his 2+ touchdowns as high as 48%.

I recommend Barkley to score to -130 because he's run all over Washington with 428 rushing yards and five touchdowns across a mere three games since joining the Eagles. Additionally, he had his best game of 2025 with a season-high 5.19 yards after contact per attempt and PFF grade against the Commanders in Week 16. And, while the Washington defense is set to improve, it’s still a stop unit that ranked 28th in rush defense DVOA and allowed the fourth-highest rushing success rate in 2025. Finally, Philadelphia didn't bring in competition for Barkley's role over the offseason, and he garnered a 74% snap share with 33.8% of the touches and 48.3% of the carries inside the red zone last year.

This is the highest-rated touchdown at this probability, according to Covers' new Anytime Touchdown Value Index. Just another tool to help you sort through the noise, get to your pick a lot quicker, and give you back your time. There isn't a category across the many inputs where Dallas Goedert isn't showing value. I know matching last year's 11 TDs will be tough, but the matchup, scoring environment, red-zone role, role certainty, and relative price are all pointing to a buy in Week 1. He scores an 80 on the CATVI. It could be a better passing offense, with more looks under center for Jalen Hurts, while the loss of A.J. Brown opens up more targets for the tight end.

The new tight end could become the No. 2 option in a passing game that has plenty of upside in the opener. Isaiah Likely signed a three-year deal, so the G-Men are committed, while Malik Nabers obviously comes with some health concerns. There are also reports that Jaxson Dart and Likely have created a solid bond throughout camp and the preseason. Getting a No. 2 option in the passing game comes at a price of around 30%, especially in a neutral, high-total game. I'm buying the Dart/Likely juice.

The projection is calling for 23.03 rushing yards, and a total I'm playing to 18.5. If you’re Denver DC Vance Joseph, your game plan has to make Patrick Mahomes mobile and test that rebuilt knee, and that isn’t a debate. The Chiefs are going to want to run the ball with their new toy in Kenneth Walker and an undrafted rookie tackle protecting Mahomes' backside, but when Mahomes drops back, his instinct will kick in, his knee will be an afterthought, and he can top this prop in one third-and-long carry. The injured knee is already priced into Mahomes' rushing total, which sits at 14.5 yards when it was 24 yards on average last year and as high as 30.5. He won't want to run, but the QB does not get to dictate that vs. a defense that might be getting in the backfield all game.

I know both quarterbacks are coming back from injuries, but Patrick Mahomes' ligaments worry me, and worry me even more when his backside protection is going to be a second-string undrafted rookie facing off vs. Nik Bonitto and this Denver pass rush. The Chiefs have concerns on the other side of the ball as well. This is a secondary that lost 75% of its starters and a few more depth pieces. It's a brand new group and one that might take some time to execute the system. Denver should even be a little better in its deep passing game with the addition of Jaylen Waddle and the chemistry he is building with Bo Nix. Sorry, Chiefs fans.

For every matchup in an NFL season, our NFL computer produces selections for a variety of different betting angles. Our computer picks are based on a proprietary algorithm that values each team in the current week to produce moneyline, spread, and point total selections.

The table above, below the game picks, tracks our NFL computer's results over the last 100 games, outlining the record and profit for selections, based on $100 unit size. We track the profit based on both opening and closing lines for every matchup.

How to Use NFL Computer Picks

The easiest way to utilize our computer picks is to simply follow our selections for every matchup, what you'd call ailing the computer." But there are other ways to utilize our NFL computer picks, as well.

You can use our NFL computer as a jumping-off point to do more research into specific lines, cross-referencing with expert picks, which can be found above the selections for some matchups, recent NFL betting trends, and more.

As well, you can gauge the confidence of the matchup. The larger the projected score, the more confident the computer is in a specific pick.

Or, if you want to implement a system, betting only on underdogs, for example, you can look for matchups in which our computer likes the underdog to inform which picks you're going to hone in on for a given week.

We have these computer picks for every sport you're looking to wager on, as well:

Free Computer Picks by Odds Shark

Moneyline

NFL moneyline picks are the simplest way to get in on the NFL action. All you have to do is simply bet on which team you think will win the game.

For moneyline picks, the favorite is represented with a minus sign (-) in front of the odds, while the underdog has a plus (+). However, you don't get the same profit for picking an underdog compared to a favorite. If the favored team is -120, a $100 bet on them would pay out $80 in profit and $180 total, if they win the game. The underdog winning at +150 would pay out a $150 profit, $250 total.

We have a complete breakdown of how to read NFL moneyline odds for these NFL computer picks.

While moneyline picks are the simplest, picking NFL games against the spread is probably the most common wager for regular NFL bettors.

To bet an NFL spread, you wager on whether a team will win by a certain number of points or more or if they'll lose by fewer points than the spread. For example, if the spread is -6.5 for the New England Patriots, you would win the bet if they win the game by 7 points or more. Or if a team is +6.5, you're betting on if they'll win outright or lose by fewer than 6.5 points.

There is a correlation between moneyline odds and the spread, as books set these lines based on the same information.

Totals (Over/Under)

If you aren’t entirely sold on which NFL team will win or cover in an NFL game, you can still use our NFL computer picks to bet on the point total.

As opposed to taking a side, in total or Over/Under betting, you wager on whether both NFL teams will combine for a final score of more than (Over) or less than (Under) the total number of points set by oddsmakers.

The computer picks, and your handicapping of totals is more about how you think both teams will score points, not which team has the edge to win.
