Early Panthers vs Browns spread pick: Panthers -2.5
The spread seems high at 2.5, especially for a probability over 50%. If it gets much higher, or if the moneyline drops to 55%, I would probably skip the spread and take Carolina moneyline.
The Carolina Panthers and Cleveland Browns are both coming off wins, something that happened only twice last season and just seven times in the last five years.
Carolina answered questions about its defense in a big way, shutting down running back Bijan Robinson and throttling the Falcons.
Linebacker Devin Lloyd was a force in the passing game, deflecting three passes and intercepting two, including a pick-six. He’ll have the opportunity to repeat that against a Browns’ offense that focused on safe dumpoffs in last week’s win.
On the other side of the ball, the Browns’ defense pressured Baker Mayfield in the Week 2 win, but it faces a much tougher test against a Carolina offense that has scored a team-record 71 points in the first two weeks.

Early Panthers vs Browns total pick: Over 41.5
The total seems low and should increase as the week goes on, so jump on it early.
The Panthers offense looks legitimate, following up a 37-point opener with a 34-point outburst against the Falcons. Only the Bills have scored more through two weeks than Carolina.
Bryce Young has taken another leap forward in his development under coordinator Brad Idzik. He is more aggressive and effective, leading the NFL in touchdown passes and ranking Top 3 in yardage, yards per attempt, and depth of target.
Young has three touchdowns in each of the first two games and is averaging nearly 325 yards passing.
The Browns’ Deshaun Watson was more conservative, throwing half of his 30 pass attempts to tight ends or backs. It worked, though, and when he took a deep shot, he found rookie Denzel Boston for 55 yards.
Cleveland's O-line also showed improvement in Week 2, as the two rookie starters didn’t allow a pressure.
