NHL Player Props and Best Bets Today for 11-27: Going Under

The Bruins can't score but can lock down opponents, which is leading us to fade the duo of David Pastrnak & Pavel Zacha — among others — tonight against the Islanders.

I set my sights on tonight's massive slate after sweeping Tuesday's board.

I think the Carolina Hurricanes will have to score their way out of their goalie issues, the Minnesota Wild are in a great schedule spot to stack points vs. the Buffalo Sabres, and the Boston Bruins vs. New York Islanders game features a stack made in Under heaven.

These are my three favorite NHL player props for Wednesday, November 27.

Today’s NHL prop picks and best bets

Prop bet #1: Hurricanes team total Over 3.5

-105 at DraftKings

It might not be a player prop, but this is worth an add to any prop card. The Carolina Hurricanes have ripped off eight straight home wins having scored 4+ goals in each of them while also going an incredible 16-5 O/U on this total on the season. The team is also down to their third-string goalie, Spencer Martin, so this offense will need to keep its foot on the proverbial offensive gas pedal.

The New York Rangers are a sad team right now, which might not be priced in enough. Igor Shesterkin has lost his starting job and owns a 3.43 GAA with a .906 save percentage over the last 30 days with a 4-5 SU record and Jonathan Quick has been playing above his numbers. Defensively, this is one of the worst teams with a winning record, gives up a ton of shots, and is missing a key player in Chris Kreider.

The locker room is also a little uneasy as the front office has called players out by name in terms of potential trades. The Canes' offense can continue to hit that four-goal mark vs. the Rangers tonight and the price is right.

Prop bet #2: Joel Eriksson Ek + Matt Boldy Over 0.5 points each

+130 at bet365

The Buffalo Sabres are being overvalued in this spot vs. the Minnesota Wild, which is giving a better price for a point stack on the visitors' top line. Buffalo is riding a three-game winning streak after sweeping a West Coast road trip, but this is their first game back and the Wild are hungry after dropping two straight and have yet to lose three in a row this season.

Joel Eriksson Ek and Matt Boldy are on the top line with NHL MVP odds favorite Kirill Kaprizov but still are being priced for a point each like they were on the second line. There are many worse stacks today at a shorter price and I have the pair for a point each at closer to +110.

Buffalo is going to be in quicksand today while the Wild, one of the best teams in the league, will be as hungry as they've been in a while.

Kaprizov is playing his second game after sitting out one but also had 13 points in his seven games before a knee injury. This trio will do some damage to a Buffalo squad juggling its lines as Tage Thompson draws back in.

Prop bet #3: David Pastrnak + Pavel Zacha Under 0.5 points each

+280 at bet365

The prices for Over stacks have adjusted, which means the Unders have been priced a little better. There are a few spots tonight where I'm looking for Unders but this Boston Bruins vs. New York Islanders game has Under written all over it.

The Bruins offense is abysmal. They were shut out last night at home vs. Vancouver but are also playing even more defensively since the change to Joe Sacco behind the bench. If Boston gets up by one goal tonight, it will shell up and protect... or it could get shut out again vs. the Isles' good goaltending.

Ultimately, this is a game between two of the four-lowest scoring offenses in hockey and every stackable line is worth an Under bet, but Boston's David Pastrnak and linemate Pavel Zacha are the best targets at +280.

Zacha has gone pointless in six straight and has a point in just four of his last 21 games while Pastrnak has gone home empty in five of his last 11.

However, I think placing four bets on all four stack Unders is the best way to bet this game as Brad Marchand/Elias Lindholm Under stack is +210, Bo Horvat/Anders Lee/Jean-Gabriel Pageau is +450, and Kyle Palmieri/Brock Nelson is +280. Hitting two of these would be profitable.
