With their quarterbacks healthy again, the Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings are eyeing a jump back into the playoff mix as they collide in Week 10.

Lamar Jackson lit up the Miami Dolphins last Thursday with four touchdown passes, but my early Ravens vs Vikings predictions signal a tougher day for Baltimore, especially after Minnesota looked sharp in a key win on Sunday.

Take a closer look at this Sunday, November 9 clash with my NFL picks.

Ravens vs Vikings predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Ravens vs Vikings spread pick: Vikings +4.5

The Baltimore Ravens delivered a TNF beatdown in Miami, but it’s hard to draw firm conclusions given the miserable state of the Dolphins these days, and I’m surprised to see Baltimore laying this many points on the road here.

It’s clearer to me that the arrow is pointing up for the Minnesota Vikings. With J.J. McCarthy healthy again, the Vikings stunned the Detroit Lions over the weekend as 9.5-point underdogs to boost their playoff hopes. McCarthy threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as Minnesota’s offense got back on track following a few tough outings with Carson Wentz under center.

These teams haven’t squared off since 2021, but the Vikings have covered the spread in the last three meetings, and I see that trend continuing. The hosts are allowing just 194.5 passing yards per game this season, eighth-fewest in the league, and I expect Brian Flores’ defense to generate enough pressure on Sunday to hurry Lamar Jackson’s decision-making.

Minnesota was an impressive 7-1 SU at U.S. Bank Stadium last year, and I’ll take the points in a game that could come down to a late field goal. Even if Jackson and Derrick Henry heat up, there’s potential for a backdoor cover with the Vikings’ receiving threats.

Early Ravens vs Vikings total pick: Over 47.5

The formbook screams Over for these two squads. That’s been a winning ticket in seven of the Vikings’ eight outings this season, and it’s 6-2 in that span for the Ravens. Given those numbers, this O/U line looks light.

From Jackson, Henry, and Zay Flowers to McCarthy, Justin Jefferson, and Jordan Addison, there’s no shortage of big-play threats in this contest, and I’m particularly monitoring the visitors defensively. Baltimore has allowed 37+ points four times already this year – and gave up a combined 79 points in its first two road games of the season.

It’s also fair to point to both teams’ defensive weaknesses, playing into the hands of the opposing unit. The Ravens have been shakiest against the pass and now have to keep tabs on Jefferson, while the Vikings have had some lapses against the run, which could be costly against Baltimore’s elite ground game.

We’ve also got two of the NFL’s most reliable kickers on show, with Tyler Loop making 12 of his 13 field goals and Will Reichard connecting on 16 of his 18 attempts. That cuts into the chances of these squads ending drives empty-handed.

These teams have nailed the Over in their past four meetings, and I’m predicting another free-scoring battle this weekend.
