Netflix MVP prelim odds and picks

Chris Avila vs Brandon Jenkins fight odds

This figures to be a sloppy but entertaining fight that pits Chris Avila’s toughness against Brandon Jenkins’ explosiveness.

Jenkins has the more polished overall skill set despite his questionable fight IQ, and he has faced a significantly higher level of opposition than Avila, who hasn’t developed much despite years as Nate Diaz’s longtime training partner and hasn’t fought professionally in five years.

Avila’s grit could keep things competitive, but Jenkins should have more weapons available over the course of the fight.

Prediction: Jenkins to win (73%/-270)
Best Pick: Jenkins to win by decision (64%/-178)

Jason Jackson vs Jefferson Creighton fight odds

Former Bellator welterweight champion Jason Jackson draws an interesting matchup against Creighton, who steps in on short notice for Lorenz Larkin.

Jackson remains the cleaner and more technically refined striker, even if he’s no longer in his absolute prime following last year’s close loss to Thad Jean in the PFL tournament.

Although Creighton is game and physically capable, this is a major jump in competition against a veteran who has fought at a championship level for years.

Prediction: Jackson to win (79%/-376)
Best Pick: Jackson to win by KO/TKO/DQ (27%/+270)
