The Jacksonville Jaguars and Miami Dolphins meet in a Sunshine State showdown on Saturday as both teams close out their preseason schedules.

Jaguars vs Dolphins prediction
Jaguars vs Dolphins Best bet: Dolphins -6 (-110)
The Miami Dolphins were favored by only 3.5 points at one time, but the spread has now gone up to six. That’s still not preventing me from taking them to cover, as I like them to win by at least a touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jacksonville will not play its starters after a testy joint practice with Miami, combined with the fact that most of its starters saw time in the first two preseason games. That’s a boost for the Dolphins, who need to work on their offensive line issues and will see their starters going against Jacksonville’s second unit.
And that second unit hasn’t done so well. The Saints stormed back against the backups last week to get a tie in the Jaguars’ second preseason contest. Zach Wilson and Quinn Ewers are both capable of moving the ball against them, especially after Tua Tagovailoa helps put them on the board early.
As for the Jaguars, their offense has been putrid without Trevor Lawrence on the field. The rushing attack has been quite poor, and the offensive line has had problems of its own. They were unable to score a single point in the second half against the Saints, and have scored just three touchdowns in more than six quarters without Lawrence on the field this preseason.
Miami is rightly favored heavily in this contest, and I don’t see it being close in the end. The Dolphins will punish the Jacksonville defense and win this going away.
