Our best Eagles vs Chiefs SGP for Week 2
The Kansas City Chiefs' offense has been hamstrung by a lack of playmakers, which is bad news against an elite Philadelphia Eagles stop unit.
However, the biggest problem for the Chiefs lies on the other side of the ball, where they surrendered 27 points and ranked 30th in the league in defensive EPA in Week 1. They struggled to generate pressure, and their secondary was torched by Justin Herbert, who completed 25-of-34 passes for 318 yards.
That's good news for Jalen Hurts, who didn't throw much last week but will likely air it out more in Week 2, especially if K.C.'s defense is focused on stopping the run and reigning OPOY Saquon Barkley.
Hurts threw a team-high seven targets to tight end Dallas Goedert last week. Goedert is doubtful for Sunday, which means more work for No. 2 TE Grant Calcaterra, who will take advantage of a Chiefs D that struggled to defend the position last year.
The Eagles should move the chains, and when they get close to the goal line, there's a good chance that Hurts will be finishing drives. Hurts had a pair of touchdowns last week and has now scored a TD in 12 of his last 15 games — including the Super Bowl when he rumbled for 72 yards and a score.
