The biggest game on the Week 2 slate features a Super Bowl rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

Although both teams struggled in Week 1, Philadelphia ultimately came out on top against Dallas, and my Eagles vs. Chiefs predictions favor the visitors at Arrowhead.

Here are my best early Eagles vs. Chiefs predictions and NFL picks for Sunday, September 14.

Eagles vs Chiefs predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Eagles vs Chiefs spread pick: Eagles +1.5

-120 at FanDuel

The Kansas City Chiefs fell 27-21 to the Chargers in Brazil last Friday. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles also failed to cover, although they managed to hold on for a 24-20 home victory against the Cowboys.

Even though the Chiefs have home-field advantage and a couple of extra days to prepare, Philly is the better team on both sides of the ball. Kansas City couldn't generate a pass rush against L.A., and the secondary was picked apart by Justin Herbert.

On offense, Patrick Mahomes remains one of the top quarterbacks in the world, but the offensive line looks shaky, and the wide receiver corps lacks explosive playmakers with Rashee Rice suspended and Xavier Worthy sidelined by an early injury last week.

The Eagles have more weapons on offense and better talent on defense. I’m backing them on what is essentially a pick’em.

Early Eagles vs Chiefs total pick: Over 46.5

-112 at FanDuel

Last week's game between the Eagles and Cowboys was a bit strange in terms of the scoring. Both sides were unable to get a stop in the first half, leading to a 21-20 halftime lead for Philly.

However, after an hour-long lightning delay in the third quarter, neither side could move the ball, and not a single point was scored. That delay iced both offenses, but the early-game performance showed how smoothly this Eagles offense can run... and how vulnerable their defense can look.

The Eagles had the best defense in the league last year and shut down Mahomes and the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. However, they lost safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and much of their pass-rush depth in the offseason.

There’s also a chance that All-Pro DT Jalen Carter could face a suspension after spitting at Dak Prescott last week.

That said, Philly will be able to move the ball against a Chiefs stop unit that allowed Justin Herbert to throw for 318 yards last week. According to PFF, Kansas City finished 28th in the league in pass rush grade in Week 1, while also ranking 31st in coverage grade.
