Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers will look to get a critical win in the NFC playoff race as they host the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football.

The electric RB is coming off a huge game and should find opportunities to gash the Carolina defense, as I’ll explain in my Christian McCaffrey odds analysis below.

Read on to see my best bet for McCaffrey and a same-game parlay in my free NFL picks for our Panthers vs. 49ers predictions on Monday, November 24.

Christian McCaffrey prop pick

Christian McCaffrey best bet: Over 123.5 rushing + receiving yards (-115 at bet365)

Christian McCaffrey remains extremely productive for the San Francisco 49ers in his age-29 season, and in at least one way, last week was his best game of the year. The former Stanford star ran for two touchdowns and caught a pass for a third in a 41-22 win over the Arizona Cardinals.

McCaffrey totaled 121 yards from scrimmage and now has a combined 1,439 yards rushing and receiving this year. No player in the NFL is as dangerous in both aspects of the game, and his production has improved as the weather has gotten colder, as he’s gone for 170+ total yards twice in the last five weeks.

The Carolina Panthers haven’t been bad in terms of scoring defense, but they aren’t doing a great job of stopping opponents from moving the chains.

Teams are averaging 4.4 yards per run against the Panthers, and are also getting 6.9 yards per passing attempt, both of which rank outside of the Top 20 in the NFL defensively.

The 49ers will exploit this by mixing up McCaffrey’s looks, finding mismatches and open space. I’m not sure if that will happen primarily on the ground or with his pass-catching ability, but one way or another, I like McCaffrey to hit his combined yardage total on MNF.

Christian McCaffrey same-game parlay

Christian McCaffrey Over 123.5 rush+receiving yards

Christian McCaffrey 2+ touchdowns

49ers -7

Brock Purdy 2+ passing touchdowns

This may be a big ask for McCaffrey, but he’s coming off a three-touchdown game and has five scores in the last three weeks, so I love for him to find the end zone twice against a vulnerable Panthers defense.

With an effort like that, San Francisco should have no problem covering a one-touchdown spread at home.

As McCaffrey stays busy in both the running and receiving games, Brock Purdy will be in a good position to hit his RB for at least one TD, making the jump to two (something he's done in every game he's played this year) a lot smoother.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
