49ers vs Seahawks Predictions, Best Bets, Props & Odds for the Divisional Round

Seattle’s success rests on Sam Darnold rising to the moment, while Christian McCaffrey & Co. look to throw him off his game in pursuit of another upset.

The Seattle Seahawks look like a Super Bowl contender on paper, checking nearly every box needed for a championship run. The biggest question mark, however, remains at quarterback with Sam Darnold.

Darnold tailed off late in the season, and his playoff track record raises concerns about whether he can deliver on the game’s biggest stage.

Expect the San Francisco 49ers to lean into that uncertainty by forcing the outcome through Darnold in Saturday’s Divisional Round matchup as we dish on our 49ers vs. Seahawks predictions for January 17.

49ers vs Seahawks best bets

Seahawks Seahawks -7

-102 at FanDuel

This spread jumped as high as Seattle -7.5 before buyback on San Francisco showed up.

I can see the appeal in getting that many points, given how good the 49ers looked last weekend and the familiarity — which breeds competition — between these two NFC West foes.

49ers/Seahawks Under 44.5

-120 at FanDuel

My first bet of the week was Under 47.5 on this game, and this total has tanked since, slipping as low as 44.5 points.

Points will be a premium, as they often are in the postseason, but tread lightly with any late Under bets as you’re far from the best of the number.

49ers vs Seahawks TD picks

49ers Christian McCaffrey anytime TD

-130 at FanDuel

I don’t expect the San Francisco 49ers to generate much offense in this game, so it makes sense to go chalky with my anytime touchdown prop. If the Niners are going to score, there’s a strong chance it will come via Christian McCaffrey.

The Pro Bowl running back is a dual threat, capable of scoring on the ground and through the air. He’s recorded an incredible 98 red-zone touches this season (74 carries and 20 receptions), resulting in 17 total touchdowns.

C-Mac punched the ball into the end zone twice against Philadelphia last week and has scored in seven of his last eight games.

Seahawks Sam Darnold Over 19.5 completions

-102 at FanDuel

Sam Darnold completed 20 of 26 passes in a Week 18 win over the San Francisco 49ers, in which the Seattle Seahawks went run-heavy.

The Niners demonstrated they could stiffen on the ground in the second half of their Wild Card win at Philadelphia, and will sell out to stop Seattle's rushing attack. That leaves Darnold dropping back more.

He’s completed 20+ passes in four of his last five outings and faces a passive 49ers defense that doesn’t bring pressure and allows the fifth-highest completion rate. His projections range from 19.8 to a ceiling of 22 completions in this game.
