Lakers vs Jazz

    • Time: 5 p.m.
    • TV: Spectrum SportsNet, KJZZ
    • Analyst: Chris Walder

    Combo: 7.57x

    • Over 237.5
    • Luka Doncic Over 7.5 assists
    • Keyonte George Over 6.5 assists

Feel free to call this the "Sharing is Caring" parlay, because dishing and diming will help you profit.

The Lakers and Jazz frequently pull out Overs anyway, having done so 12 of the last 16 times. Points mean assists are sure to follow, with a better return on investment here because legs like Luka Doncic going Over 7.5 assists are still possible.

Keyonte George, meanwhile, is Utah's leading assist man with 7.5, continuing his year-over-year uptick in that category.

He's coming off 10 assists against the Pelicans, and if Doncic can finish with at least eight after getting exactly seven twice, then we'll be sitting pretty.

Walder expects plenty of those Doncic assists to set up Walker Kessler in his full Lakers vs. Jazz predictions.

    Clippers vs Thunder

      • Time: 7 p.m.
      • TV: ClipperVision, Thunder+
      • Analyst: Chris Walder

      Combo: 4.30x

      • Thunder moneyline
      • Under 222.5
      • Clippers team total Under 104.5

Death, taxes, and the Thunder beating the Clippers.

If the Spurs and Nuggets couldn't muster more than 104 points against OKC, it's hard to see the Clippers bucking that trend.

That pairs with an Under at 222.5 points, with L.A. and the Thunder 1-3 in this market through three games.

      Raptors vs Timberwolves

        Combo: 6.35x

        • Under 229.5
        • Raptors moneyline
        • Scottie Barnes Over 34.5 points+rebounds+assists

Both teams dominated their first two games with phenomenal defense, but the Toronto Raptors have the edge because of their versatile offense.

The Minnesota Timberwolves offense takes 44% of their shots from beyond the arc, while Toronto's offense generates 32.7% of its shots from downtown, least in the NBA.

Toronto's offense has run through Scottie Barnes through the first two games. He's averaging 25.5 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists and ranks 10th in usage among players averaging 25+ mpg.

The do-it-all forward will need to be at his best against a strong Minnesota team. He's coming off a 47 PRA performance against the Wizards, and I'll trade this combo line up to 36.5.

        Magic vs Knicks

        Combo: 6.75x

        • Under 224.5
        • Wendell Carter Jr. Over 7.5 rebounds
        • Jalen Brunson Over 34.5 points+rebounds+assists

With both squads misfiring at a fairly hefty clip thus far in the new season, and each also capable of playing solid defense, the next leg of the combo banks on Wendell Carter Jr., who’s off to an excellent all-around start, seeing his fair share of rebounding opportunities on both the offensive and defensive glass.

The combo closes out with a Jalen Brunson prop that backs the idea of him enjoying an overdue improvement in shooting efficiency against a Magic team that’s had trouble defending point guards over the first two games.

        Pistons vs 76ers

        • Time: 7:30 p.m.
        • TV: WMYD-IND, NBC Sports Philadelphia
        • Analyst: Zak Hanshew

        Combo: 6.59x

        • 76ers moneyline
        • Under 224.5
        • Tyrese Maxey Over 24.5 points

Philadelphia’s 100 defensive rating ranks fourth in the NBA, and the team has allowed the seventh-fewest points per game to opponents (107.3). The Sixers can slow Detroit’s shorthanded offense by securing the ball and limiting fast-break scoring opportunities. Play down to 225.5.

If I expected Thompson to play, I’d shy away from this leg, as he's usually tasked with guarding the opposing team’s best player. But without his relentless pressure, I’m happy trading the Over on Tyrese Maxey's scoring prop up to 26.5 points.

For the fourth straight season, Maxey is putting up 20 shots per game, and he’s averaging a career-best 28.7 points. He’s scored 25+ in all three games to open the season, and a favorable matchup at home gives him an edge to clear that line once again.

See what else Hanshew has going in his Pistons vs. 76ers predictions.
