Expert NBA ATS picks: Nov. 6

Celtics vs Hornets: Celtics Celtics -8.5

The Boston Celtics are sitting at 6-2 and have covered this spread in four of those wins. They face a Charlotte Hornets team tonight that is averaging a league-worst 98.1 ppg, while also sitting dead last in pace. Boston's net rating is also significantly better at +6.1, compared to -11.5 for Charlotte. I'll confidently back the C's.

Wizards vs Hawks: Hawks Hawks -6.5

The Atlanta Hawks blew out the Washington Wizards by 15 points earlier this week, outshooting them from downtown and dominating the Wizards on the boards. Those two clear advantages make them a deserving favorite tonight, and with Anthony Davis questionable, I'll take Atlanta to cover again.

76ers vs Cavaliers: 76ers 76ers -2.5

The Philadelphia 76ers are one of the best teams in the Association early on, starting 8-1. They've also gone a perfect 4-0 on the road, and already beat the Cleveland Cavaliers by eight points on Oct. 23. Philly's defense is elite, and I expect them to set the tone. The Sixers will extend their win streak to six.

Jazz vs Mavericks: Mavericks Mavericks -7.5

I have zero belief in the 1-7 Utah Jazz, who are looking horrendous. They're still without two key frontcourt pieces in Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jusuf Nurkic, and the Jazz have failed to cover in seven of eight games. The Dallas Mavericks are by no means elite, but they're healthier and have a much better net rating.

Raptors vs Bucks: Raptors Raptors -7.5

The Milwaukee Bucks are allowing 122.2 ppg, and the Toronto Raptors are capable of exploding offensively. They've shown just that against much better teams lately, dropping 125 points in back-to-back games against the Lakers and Clippers. Toronto's attack should overwhelm an inconsistent Bucks defense.

Timberwolves vs Pelicans: Timberwolves Timberwolves -4.5

The Minnesota Timberwolves haven't missed a beat without Anthony Edwards. They're second in the league with a +11.0 net rating, and have gone 8-1 against the spread. Minny is also very solid defensively, and they've covered this number in back-to-back games. The Wolves will exploit a New Orleans Pelicans squad allowing nearly 120 ppg.

Thunder vs Grizzlies: Thunder Thunder -3.5

The Memphis Grizzlies have cooled off after a hot start, losing two in a row. Over their last three games, the Grizzlies have committed 53 turnovers. Even with the OKC Thunder missing numerous key players, this is still a team led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who has erupted for 40+ in back-to-back outings. The Thunder will cover this modest spread behind their superstar.

Spurs vs Kings: Kings Kings +15.5

The Sacramento Kings have been downright awful, but this is an enormous number, and the San Antonio Spurs have only covered three times this season. The Spurs were a double-digit favorite against the Mavs earlier this week but only won by one point. Yes, there's obviously blowout potential here, but the Spurs' inability to consistently pull away has me siding with the points for Sacramento.

Blazers vs Lakers: Blazers Blazers +2.5

I love the Portland Trail Blazers in this spot. They're a perfect 4-0 on the road and have collected three straight victories. The Blazers also beat the Los Angeles Lakers by seven points in LA on Oct. 28. They're also a much better offensive rebounding team, which could create second-chance points tonight.
