The Indiana Pacers' injury report is concerning enough to make me immediately less confident in their chances against the Philadelphia 76ers, who are projected to have their star-studded starting unit fully intact.
That's part of why I like the latter up to 7.5 points on the spread.
Philly's three-game winning streak snapped Sunday, but it competed without Joel Embiid and VJ Edgecombe, who are expected to play tonight.
In 32 minutes with LeBron James, Jaylen Brown, and Tyrese Maxey on the floor, that five-man lineup has outscored opponents by 33.7 points per 100 possessions.
An eight-point loss to the woeful Milwaukee Bucks, without Ivica Zubac in the middle, does little to inspire confidence in the Pacers.
Jay Huff can defend, but not like Zubac, and that should expose Indiana around the basket to the Sixers' guard penetration and frontcourt size.

One of the Sixers' litany of stars was inevitably going to step out and become the top scorer. Over four games, Maxey has proven he's the man for the job, and his superstar comrades trust him in that role.
The 25-year-old guard ranks fourth in the Association in scoring at 28.8 points, 7.1 more than Embiid and eight more than Brown.
He's scored at least 26 points in each of his four appearances, and now gets a Pacers team he dropped no less than 28 points on in all four meetings last season.
Pacers player prop: Pascal Siakam Over 3.5 assists

Pascal Siakam has contributed 12 total assists over the last two games, averaging 9.5 potential assists; that's 2.3 more than he produced a year ago.
The potential return of Andrew Nembhard could cut into Siakam's distribution numbers, but even if the former is available, recording four dimes isn't a tall task in isolation.
The All-Star forward has gone Over this number three of the last four times he's battled Philadelphia. I'm not thrown off by the Sixers ranking first in opponents' assists, because both teams rank in the top seven in pace of play, and that should help negate that.
