The Arizona Diamondbacks have climbed back to .500 following a 3-0 start to their homestand, and they'll look to keep the good times rolling as they welcome in the San Diego Padres on Friday night.

My Padres vs. Diamondbacks predictions and MLB picks for June 13 see Corbin Carroll contributing to the D-backs' cause this evening.

My Padres vs Diamondbacks best bet: Corbin Carroll to score a run (-150 at BET99)

Corbin Carroll came home to score in each of the Arizona Diamondbacks' three wins over the Seattle Mariners in mid-week, once via the home run, and three other times through his teammates.

The Diamondbacks are fourth in the majors in manufacturing runs (5.09 per game), and all the hitters that typically line up behind Carroll are seeing the ball quite well at the moment.

Ketel Marte owns a 1.225 OPS in June with at least one RBI in five of nine games. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. has an RBI in seven of his last 13 overall. Cleanup hitter Josh Naylor was as hot as anyone in the Seattle series, gathering eight hits and six RBI.

Carroll figures to see San Diego Padres starter Stephen Kolek three times atop the D-backs order. He has two hits in four lifetime at-bats vs. Kolek.

Kolek's high walk rate (39th percentile) and low K-rate (15th percentile) are a dangerous combination vs. any MLB team, let alone a Diamondbacks squad that ranks Top 4 in the corresponding categories.

Once Kolek exits, a Padres bullpen ranked 18th by xFIP over the last month of play will take over.

Corbin Carroll to score a run

Josh Naylor Over 1.5 total bases

Ryne Nelson Under 3.5 strikeouts

Naylor is in a groove right now with three extra-base hits among the eight he recorded vs. Seattle earlier this week. He's also hitting a robust .362 at home this year compared to .238 everywhere else.

D-backs starter Ryne Nelson has a fairly short leash, exceeding 77 pitches just once through four starts since leaving the bullpen. He also doesn't have great swing-and-miss stuff (38th percentile in K-rate, 17th percentile in whiff rate, 12th percentile in chase rate).

The Padres are among the most disciplined teams in baseball (fourth-fewest Ks) and should not fall prey to him four times tonight.
