A pitcher's duel is in the cards tonight at Target Field as the Los Angeles Dodgers face the Minnesota Twins.

My Dodgers vs. Twins predictions are eyeing the visitors to grab a victory behind the dominance of Shohei Ohtani, who takes the ball.

Read more in my MLB picks for Wednesday, June 24.

Who will win Dodgers vs Twins today: Dodgers -1.5 (+101)

Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani has been in top notch form on the mound. He owns a 3.14 FIP over his last 24.2 innings of work while limiting opponents to a 4.8% barrel rate. Ohtani also owns a stellar 1.23 ERA on the road.

Minnesota Twins right-hander Joe Ryan hasn't been shabby lately either, carrying a 3.01 xERA over his last two starts. However, there are signs that some regression could be coming.

Ryan has allowed a 44.4% hard-hit rate during that span, and that could be dangerous against a Dodgers lineup that continues to generate quality contact.

Ohtani enters in better shape, and Los Angeles has the offensive firepower to capitalize if Ryan's recent contact issues continue.

I'll play this pick up to -120.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Dodgers are averaging 126 wRC+ on the road this season compared to a 118 mark overall.

Dodgers vs Twins Over/Under pick: Over 7.5 runs (-116)

I don't expect another 12-2 blowout, but even if Joe Ryan limits damage early, Minnesota's bullpen and the Dodgers' offensive firepower could still push this game beyond the total.

The Twins' relief corps owns a 5.43 ERA over the last week while allowing 1.36 home runs and 4.92 walks per nine innings. Against a lineup as dangerous as Los Angeles, those extra baserunners can quickly turn into runs.

The Dodgers' bullpen hasn't been lights out lately either, posting a 4.81 FIP over the last seven days. Even if both starters pitch reasonably well, there are multiple avenues for offense once the bullpens take over.

I'll play this pick up to -130.

Dodgers vs Twins weather

Conditions at Target Field could provide a slight boost to offense tonight. Temperatures are expected to be around 73°F with 12.8 mph winds and moderate humidity. While the weather isn't extreme, the stronger breeze may help the ball carry a bit better than usual, potentially benefiting hitters in a game that already features two dangerous offenses.
