Morocco still has a path to top spot in Group C, while Haiti has already been eliminated. Expect the Atlas Lions to push for goals and cover the -2.5 spread.

Morocco are looking to go deep in the World Cup bracket, and they stand a great chance of securing their place in the knockout phase in front of a big crowd in Georgia.

I expect the Atlas Lions to run out comfortable winners in a high-scoring encounter against opponents that will lack motivation.

Read on for my Morocco vs. Haiti predictions and World Cup picks for Wednesday, June 24, at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Atlanta. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 pm ET.

 TOP PICK
Who will win Morocco vs Haiti: Morocco -2.5 (+146)

Morocco were already favorites to win this game before the tournament began. Their odds have shortened in recent days as Haiti have been dumped out of the World Cup following defeats in their opening two matches, vs. Scotland (0-1) and Brazil (0-3).

This means that, as well as the obvious disparity in quality — Morocco have better players and are collectively stronger all over the pitch — there will be a huge difference in motivation, too. Those selected to play for Haiti will want to enjoy their final moments under the World Cup sun, of course, but enjoying and striving to win are not the same thing.

Morocco can claim top spot in the group, although whether they do will partly depend on the result in Group C’s other match (Brazil vs. Scotland), which kicks off at the same time as this match.

The North Africans will strive to uphold their side of the bargain by winning by the largest margin they possibly can, as the pecking order at the top of Group C may be decided by goal difference.

Back Morocco to overcome the -2.5 handicap, and playable to +130.

Morocco vs Haiti Over/Under pick: Over 2.5 Goals (-178)

Haiti have already conceded four times in two games, and it is close to certain that they will concede again here.

You cannot fake motivation. With absolutely nothing to play for, Haiti’s defenders will struggle to shut out Moroccan attackers looking to drive their team towards top place in Group C.

Haiti’s average ‘xG against’ across their two games so far is a respectable 1.40, but they will be second to so many balls here, and the potential for Haiti to select some of their back-up players in a game where there is nothing at stake for them merely increases the likelihood of a big Morocco win.

Morocco scored once vs Brazil (1-1) and added a second tournament goal in their second game vs Scotland (1-0). Manager Mohamed Ouahbi will encourage his players to continue to attack rather than sit on a one-goal lead in the event of them going ahead as goal difference may determine whether they or Brazil top the group.

Back the game to have three or more goals at anything up to -185.
