The Toronto Blue Jays will go for yet another sweep, while we go for another same-game parlay to hit as they close out their series with the Arizona Diamondbacks this afternoon.

The Toronto bats came alive in an 8-1 win last night, cashing a third SGP in my last four Blue Jays predictions. Today, my MLB picks explain why they’ll continue to rake against D-backs starter Ryne Nelson on Thursday, June 19.

Blue Jays predictions for June 19

Today’s Blue Jays best bet: Vladdy's home

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 total bases (+100 at BetVictor)

The new top three in the Toronto Blue Jays lineup looks like it’s working. Bo Bichette, Addison Barger, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. combined for eight hits and six RBI in last night’s win over the Arizona Diamondbacks

Putting an effective lefty bat between Bichette and Guerrero in the batting order is playing off. It also means Vladdy is getting more pitches to hit and more opportunities to drive in runs, which he’s been doing a lot of in this series.

Guerrero has five hits, including a mammoth home run on Tuesday, and six RBI in the first two games, and his advanced numbers are off the charts.

The star Blue Jays slugger is in the 100th percentile in expected batting average and the 92nd in expected slugging. He’s also in the 92nd percentile or better in average exit velocity, barrel rate, hard-hit percentage, and bat speed. He’s hitting the ball hard and often, and that continues today.

The Diamondbacks’ biggest issue this season has been pitching, particularly in the rotation. Now, injuries have helped, but that doesn’t change the fact that they’re just not getting a lot of quality innings from their starters.

Case in point, they're handing the ball to Ryne Nelson, who has been inconsistent for much of the season.

He has a 4.42 expected ERA and is allowing a .279 expected batting average. Those rank in the 29th and 15th percentiles, respectively. So, slowing Vladdy when he’s locked in like this is going to be tough.

Vladdy is hitting .379 with a 1.021 OPS over his last nine games. He’s topped 1.5 total bases six times during that stretch. It doesn't hurt that he's 2-for-6 with a dinger in his career vs. Nelson, either.

Today’s Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 total bases

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 0.5 RBI

George Springer Over 0.5 RBI

Let’s add Vladdy to drive in another run today. As noted, he’s got six in this series already. Both Bichette and Barger are hot and getting on base in front of him. Guerrero should have multiple opportunities to get another RBI against Nelson today.

George Springer is another beneficiary of the new-look top of the Toronto batting order.

It’s been a solid comeback season for the Blue Jays’ outfielder, who has been hitting the ball much harder in 2025. And hitting behind a bunch of guys who are getting on base a lot should mean RBI.

In fact, Springer has 14 RBI in his last 17 games, driving in at least one run in 11 of those games. He’s also 2-for-6 in his career vs. Nelson.
