The Bills have had trouble carrying momentum off wins this year, and that will lead to a low-scoring Browns cover on Sunday afternoon, per our NFL betting picks.

The Bills and Browns meet at Huntington Bank Field this Sunday, with the visitors looking to capitalize on beating the Patriots on Sunday and take the division from them.

My early Bills vs. Browns predictions and NFL picks expect points to be at a premium on Sunday, December 21. The game will kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on CBS.

Early Bills vs Browns spread pick: Browns +10.5

-122 at FanDuel

Sunday saw the Buffalo Bills turn things around after the interval, scoring four second-half touchdowns to the Patriots’ one, in order to get the win and claw back some ground in the battle for the AFC East. Despite that stunning victory, as well as the Cleveland Browns succumbing to a 31-3 defeat to the Bears, we’re taking the Browns to cover the spread here.

We’ve seen all season that this Bills unit is inconsistent. Despite having Josh Allen and an offense that can be truly explosive, they’re also capable of serious underperformance. They’ve been bad at building back-to-back strong performances, as evidenced by being 3-6 ATS following a win.

The Browns' offense might be struggling but the defense has real talent. We’ve only seen the Bills face one defense that ranks inside the Top 10 in DVOA. That was the Texans' stop unit a month ago, and the Buffalo offense really struggled in a 23-19 loss.

CJ Stroud is far better than Shedeur Sanders, but the Cleveland defense will do enough to keep this team within touching distance here.

Early Bills vs Browns total pick: Under 42.5

-112 at FanDuel

This Browns defense will be the second-best one that Allen and the Bills have faced this year, and Buffalo struggled to deal with the pass rush that Houston threw at them. Now it’s time to face Myles Garrett, who is in the middle of a historic season.

Despite some great high-scoring games involving the Bills this year, we’ve also seen some poor offensive showings from them with four games of 20 or fewer points. The Under is 5-2 when the Bills are on the road, and 5-4 in games following a win.

We certainly can’t look at the Browns offense to help reach that target of 42.5 total points. In the past three weeks, they’ve put up 40 points, with 29 of those coming against a terrible Titans side.

They’ve struggled badly even when they’ve faced half-decent teams, putting up eight against the Niners and just three on the Bears. Sanders really struggled in that Chicago game, throwing three picks while also leading the team in rushing with just 24 yards. Of Sanders' 177 passing yards, 89 came on just two receptions for Isaiah Bond.

The Browns offense is woeful, ranking dead-last in offensive DVOA. It’s hard to see them contributing to an Over on Sunday afternoon.
