The Patrick Mahomes-less Kansas City Chiefs head to Nashville this weekend for a matchup with the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium.

Despite KC being eliminated from playoff contention, my early Chiefs vs. Titans predictions and NFL picks expect them to cover against a struggling Tennessee team.

Early Chiefs vs Titans spread pick: Chiefs -3.5

-110 at FanDuel

The Kansas City Chiefs won’t be heading to the playoffs for the first time since 2014, and to make matters worse, they lost Patrick Mahomes to a torn ACL on Sunday — the first major injury of his decorated career. At this point, it’s about playing for pride, and KC will have Gardner Minshew under center in his place.

While he’s not exactly a star, Minshew has shown the ability to step up and get the job done before. He’ll be up against a Tennessee Titans team that's 2-12, and they have one of the worst defenses in the league.

Even without Mahomes, the Chiefs are still a far better team than Tennessee, and with a spread this small, I don’t see them having any issues covering. The Titans are also 0-7 at home.

KC will move one win closer to .500 football.

Early Chiefs vs Titans total pick: Under 37.5

-110 at FanDuel

No one's expecting this to be a high-scoring game, with the total set at just 37.5. When you take Mahomes out of the equation, it’s hard to imagine the Chiefs putting up points in bunches.

Sure, Tennessee is allowing 28.1 points per game, but regardless, I don’t expect either team to be finding the end zone a lot.

This game should be very low-scoring, and the Titans have scored 15 points or fewer in two of their last three home games. The Chiefs aren’t scoring a lot of points on the road lately, either.

I’ll take the Under. It won’t be the most exciting contest.
