Drake Maye Odds, Predictions & Projections for Super Bowl 60

Drake Maye has put the Patriots on his back and run them into a Super Bowl showdown with Seattle. He's the most mobile QB the Seahawks have faced all season, and Jason Logan likes at least one big scramble from the Patriots star.

This New England Patriots offense has run a rough road to Super Bowl LX.

The Patriots faced three straight top-tier defenses in less-than-ideal conditions to win the AFC title, forcing quarterback Drake Maye to make plays beyond throwing the football.

His ability to take off and run is at the core of New England’s postseason push, rushing for a total of 141 yards. That tally alone accounts for 17% of the Pats’ total yardage in the playoffs.

My Patriots vs. Seahawks predictions and NFL picks see Maye doing damage with his legs once again — or at least breaking off one big run against this stingy Seattle Seahawks defense.

Drake Maye best bet for Super Bowl LX

Drake Maye longest rush Over 13.5 yards (-120)

Drake Maye’s rushing stats have been sparked by three of the best teams at taking away the pass, and he now faces perhaps his toughest challenge in Super Bowl LX.

The Seattle Seahawks’ zone-centric schemes and ability to get pressure with just the front four — allowing linebackers to drop into coverage — is a nightmare for rival quarterbacks. Throwing windows close as fast as they open all while pass rushers breathe down your neck.

Seattle is tops in defensive DVOA versus No. 1 receivers and No. 6 versus WR2, which means Maye will be working deep into his progressions as time in the pocket ticks up and his internal alarm clock screams, “RUN!”.

Maye broke off big gains with his legs versus the Los Angeles Chargers (37-yard long) and Denver Broncos (28-yard long), and has recorded a run of 14+ yards in four of his last six games going back to Week 15’s showdown with the Buffalo Bills — another strong pass defense.

The Seahawks haven’t faced a quarterback as mobile as Maye in a long time. You’d have to go back to a Week 9 matchup with Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders for a comparable dual threat. Daniels finished with 51 rushing yards on 10 carries, with a long of 12 yards.

Since then, the Seahawks have defended a slew of pocket passers and veteran QBs, yet plenty of those less-than-spry quarterbacks picked up significant gains on the ground. Jacoby Brissett, Cam Ward, and Bryce Young did damage with the run, and in the playoff,s Brock Purdy and Matthew Stafford registered bigger scrambles of 18 and 13 yards.

Maye’s rushing projections for Super Sunday range between 29 and 37 yards, which lean Under for his total rushing yards prop, given the negative game script pointing to more passing from the Patriots.

However, this Seattle defense is susceptible to at least one big quarterback scramble, and Maye is the most dangerous dual-threat QB the Seahawks have faced all season.
