Back from a grueling road trip, it doesn’t get any easier for the Las Vegas Aces, who open a two-game set at home with the surging Washington Mystics tonight.
Washington is the hottest thing going in the WNBA, reeling off seven straight wins and quickly asserting themselves as a contender for the WNBA title.

The Aces went 2-3 on their recent road trip and now face their fourth game in six days after resting their top scorers in a blowout loss to New York.
Washington has also covered in eight straight, six times as an underdog.
The Mystics may not win, but their defense combined with Vegas’ fatigue should keep this close. I’d back Washington to +5.5.

A’ja Wilson has had plenty of time to stew after her 20+ point streak ended at 12 in a loss to the Lynx. With a full three days off, she should be back to her dominant self. Wilson has gone for 35+ in each of her last two starts against Washington.
