Moneyline pick
Italy delivered a statement of intent in the opening match of the Euros, breezing past what we came to learn was a pathetic Turkey squad. However, the Azzurri didn't slow down over their next two matches, dispatching Wales and Switzerland with similar ease. The perfect mark in the group stages means it's now 11 straight wins for Italy and 30 matches unbeaten.
The effectiveness of their attack was the biggest question mark hanging over the squad ahead of the Euros, but those concerns have been put to rest. Ciro Immobile, who had become infamous for his international output not matching his fantastic club numbers, has two goals in the tournament, averaging over one per 90 minutes. Lorenzo Insigne, meanwhile, has been consistently dangerous on the left, with one goal to show for it, and Domenico Berardi has provided width and great crosses from the right.
Despite a relatively pedestrian group stage, Austria got through in second place with six points, knocking off a talent-poor North Macedonia squad and a Ukraine team that looked asleep at the wheel. In their only real test, against the Netherlands, the talent gap was painfully obvious. A 2-0 score flattered Austria, with the Netherlands winning the xG battle by over 3.0 and only really allowing one chance to Austria.
It's the end of the line for Austria, as they bow out to potential tournament winners Italy.

Perhaps even more impressive than Italy's 11 straight wins and 30 matches undefeated is that Italy have not conceded a goal over those 11 wins, while scoring 31 times themselves.
More frightening still, none of Turkey, Switzerland, or Wales even looked close to cracking Italy. Turkey mustered an xG of 0.2 without a shot on target, Switzerland a touch better at 0.3 xG with one shot on target, and Wales, against an already-through Italy squad, totaled 0.5 xG and a single shot on target.
In a brutally difficult side of the bracket and a meeting with either Portugal or Belgium on deck, Italy are not likely to get through the remainder of the tournament without conceding. In the Round of 16, however, that trend will continue.
