The Philadelphia Eagles are huge favorites to jump out to a 2-0 start with a win over the Tennessee Titans ahead of their 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Nissan Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 20.

My top Eagles vs. Titans prediction and NFL picks expect Tennessee to be completely outclassed by the superior Philadelphia roster in Week 2.

 TOP Pick
Eagles vs Titans prediction: Eagles -7.5

The Tennessee Titans face a major uptick in class after finishing last in DVOA in Week 1, and in particular, I’m anticipating quarterback Cam Ward to have a long afternoon.

It’s why I’m comfortable backing the Philadelphia Eagles -7.5 down to 50%.

Ward threw for just 4.4 yards per attempt and a 5.3 aDoT while connecting on only 59.4% of his passes with a 28.6% bad-throw rate, and the Titans finished 23rd in EPA per play.

Of course, the Eagles largely held Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels in check to the tune of a 4.8 YPA and 52.9 completion percentage in the season opener, which isn’t good news for Ward’s prospects Sunday afternoon.

This is all the more true after Philadelphia generated the highest pressure rate with four pass rushers or fewer in Week 1.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Tennessee Titans finished 28th in defensive DVOA while allowing the 10th-highest EPA per play in Week 1.

Eagles vs Titans combo

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts threw for 8.1 yards per attempt with a 10.9 aDoT and league-high 11.5% big-time-throw rate in Week 1, so I’m anticipating him having success through the air against a Tennessee defense that allowed the third-highest yards per reception (13.5) and fourth-highest catch percentage (84.6%) to wide receivers last week.

As a result, I’m expecting both Philly receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks to leave a mark on this game. Smith finished the opener with a monster 16.4 aDoT, and Wicks was even higher with a 21.8 mark.

Eagles vs Titans combo

  • Eagles -7.5
  • DeVonta Smith 60+ receiving yards
  • Dontayvion Wicks 24+ receiving yards

Eagles vs Titans touchdown scorer: Saquon Barkley

After being held out of the end zone in Week 1, I’m anticipating Eagles running back Saquon Barkley scoring against the Titans.

Tennessee finished 28th in run defense DVOA and 24th in PFF run defense grade while allowing 142 rushing yards to backs in the season opener, and now they face an elite offensive line that ranked 10th in run block win rate last week.

Of course, Barkley also handled 33.8% of the touches and 48.3% of the carries inside the red zone last year.
