Several factors are pointing to a big Week 4 from Saquon Barkley — and we're placing our bets accordingly.

The Philadelphia Eagles travel south to Florida, facing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a battle between two 2-1 teams on Sunday afternoon.

Find out why my Eagles vs. Buccaneers predictions are counting on Saquon Barkley to continue to star for the Birds in Tampa Bay in my best Week 4 NFL picks for Sunday, September 29th.

Eagles vs Buccaneers prediction

My best bet
Saquon Barkley Over 75.5 rushing yards (-120 at BetMGM)

My analysis
The Philadelphia Eagles went out this offseason and signed former New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley away from their division rival. That move has paid off early, as the star RB has racked up 351 yards on 63 carries (5.6 yards per carry) with four touchdowns to boot.

Barkley has consistently been a part of the Eagles’ offensive attack early in the season, and showed his explosiveness with a 65-yard score last week in New Orleans. He’s now run for 95+ yards in all three games, including 109 in Week 1 and 147 last week.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense hasn’t been too great against the run this season, allowing 413 yards on the ground (137.7 per game) thus far. While only Jahmyr Gibbs in Week 2 cleared this Over 75.5 mark, Broncos RB Tyler Badie ran for 70 yards on just nine carries last week.

It’s also worth noting the weather forecast in Tampa Bay. With Hurricane Heline wreaking havoc down south, there are expected to be thunderstorms on Sunday afternoon. If that’s the case, passing the ball will be a bit more difficult, leading to even more Barkley carries.

Eagles vs Buccaneers same-game parlay

Eagles -1

Under 42.5

The Eagles would be undefeated if it weren’t for a few different decisions in their loss to the Falcons. While the Bucs are also 2-1, they’re coming off a bad loss to the Broncos as six-point favorites.

The weather forecast is looking like it’s going to be a sloppy game, which means a low-scoring affair. Back the Birds and the Under 42.5 in Tampa Bay.

  • The Eagles odds opened as 2.5-point favorites on the point spread, but they’ve been bet all the way down to -1.5 as of Friday afternoon.

  • The total has also been bet down, quite possibly due to the weather forecast. It’s down to 42.5 after opening at 46.5 earlier in the week.
