With neither team expected to play their starters much, if at all, the Seahawks have an advantage at home with their depth on both sides of the ball.

For the first time since lifting the Lombardi Trophy, the Seattle Seahawks take to Lumen Field in Seattle as they host the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET (NFL Network).

With neither team expected to play key players, my Cowboys vs. Seahawks predictions and NFL picks are backing Seattle to cover as a 2.5-point favorite thanks to its depth advantage.

 TOP PICK

Who will win Cowboys vs Seahawks: Seahawks -2.5

Kalshi probability: 51%

In his first preseason as the Dallas Cowboys' head coach, Brian Schottenheimer held his most important players out of all three games. As a result, Dallas went 1-2 and was outscored 73-65, with backup QB Joe Milton III taking the majority of snaps.

Milton, who's likely to play at least a half against Seattle, was shaky last preseason. He completed just 55.4% of his pass attempts while averaging 6.1 yards per attempt, and the signal-caller posted more turnover-worthy plays (four) than TD passes (two).

While the Seattle Seahawks are also expected to keep their top players off the field, the defending champions hold a depth advantage. Seattle's second-string offense and defense are full of veterans who have played real NFL snaps.

The clear advantage is at QB with Drew Lock. Lock has been a solid spot starter for Seattle in the regular season, and last year the Seahawks were 1-0-1 in the two preseason games when he played. He posted an adjusted completion percentage of 74.2% and threw three touchdowns in those outings.

Cowboys vs Seahawks Over/Under pick: Under 38.5

Kalshi probability: 52%

Seattle is known for its defense under Mike Macdonald, and that extends to the preseason. In six preseason games as the Seahawks' head coach, Macdonald's defense has allowed 18.5 points per game while holding opponents to fewer than 17 points in three of those outings.

A big piece of that is the depth Seattle's defense boasts, particularly in the front seven. And this year, the Seahawks invested in their secondary depth with four draft picks, including taking Bud Clark in the second round.

Dallas similarly has invested on the defensive side, with this being new coordinator Christian Parker's first game in charge. And with the Cowboys likely to play rookies, Parker has plenty of talent at his disposal. Dallas used five top 150 picks on defensive players.

With rookies like Caleb Downs, who's among the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year odds favorites, and veterans like James Houston, Dallas can slow Seattle's offense, especially when Jalen Milroe comes in for Lock. Milroe completed 56.4% of his pass attempts with just one TD in three preseason games as a rookie.
