Jason Logan’s expert pick: Jaxson Dart 30+ rushing yards

Price: 49% at Kalshi

On top of getting his own number called for carries, Jaxson Dart could find himself in panic mode and taking off on SNF.

New offensive coordinator Matt Nagy is asking Dart to take more snaps under center, which is a drastic shift considering he’s worked out of the shotgun during his college career and first year in the pros.

That instant buffer is gone, and with the Dallas Cowboys bringing the heat (No. 1 in pressure rate last season), Dart could feel rushed and opt to tuck and run.

Projections call for as many as 36 rushing yards, with my number north of 32.

Geoff Clark's expert pick: Giants +2.5

Price: 46% at Kalshi

A team with a defense that played as poorly as the Cowboys’ last season should never be a road favorite in a divisional game.

Albeit the Cowboys have solid personnel, and I love the S Caleb Downs draft choice. Their defense should progress toward the median this season. But so should the New York Giants’ whole team after they hired John Harbaugh this offseason.

People are rewriting Harbaugh’s history with the Ravens and treating him like a “Lamar Jackson merchant,” which is disrespectful, just like this line. I'd play the Giants down to a pick ‘em.

Joe Osborne's expert pick: First half Over 24.5

Price: 46% at Kalshi

Dallas and New York went a combined 26-8 to the first-half Over last season, with the Cowboys going a ridiculous 16-1.

The Cowboys led the NFL in first-half scoring while allowing the second-most first-half points, producing an average of 31.9 combined points before halftime.

There’s plenty of firepower here to keep that scoring frenzy rolling against defenses that could need some time to find their footing.

Jon Metler’s expert pick: Cowboys -2.5

Price: 55% at Kalshi

Give me the Cowboys in the first Sunday Night Football matchup of the season. They're trading as 2.5-point favorites, and I make them closer to 4-point favorites in this matchup.

I think Dallas wins this game with Quinnen Williams and the interior of its defensive line. Jon Runyan is overmatched against Williams, while rookie Francis Mauigoa is starting at right guard.

There are schematic adjustments you can make to slow down an edge rush, but it's much harder to address pressure coming straight up the middle.

If the pocket keeps collapsing on Jaxson Dart, it's going to force him to abandon his reads while also disrupting the Giants' running game with Cam Skattebo.
