The Chicago Bears and Kansas City Chiefs close out their preseason slates when the two teams meet on Friday night at Arrowhead Stadium.
Both Patrick Mahomes and Caleb Williams are expected to see a few series as they prepare for their opening games in two weeks. Both offenses have quite a few weapons, and my Bears vs. Chiefs predictions expect plenty of points.

Bears vs Chiefs prediction
Bears vs Chiefs Best bet: Over 42.0 (-110)
So far in the preseason, the Chicago Bears have looked to have adapted well to the new offense. Caleb Williams threw for 107 yards and a touchdown on just 10 attempts last week as the Bears routed the Bills 38-0 at home, while Tyson Bagent threw for nearly 200 yards and a score.
On the ground, the Bears got strong days from both Ian Wheeler (19 carries, 80 yards, and two TDs) and Brittain Brown (16 carries, 73 yards, one TD) as the team rushed for 171 yards in total. This came after a 24-24 draw to open the preseason against the Dolphins.
I don’t see them dropping 38 points or pitching another shutout, but they should find success against the Kansas City Chiefs. After two preseason games away from home, the Chiefs return to Arrowhead, licking their wounds following a 33-16 defeat at the hands of the Seahawks. The defense has spoken this week about how embarrassed they were, and I expect they’ll play better early on.
But Patrick Mahomes has thrown just one pass in this preseason, and he will get a couple of possessions here with his full allotment of weapons. Chicago’s defense will be tested, and I expect a couple of scoring drives from each starting offense.
Once the backups take over, we’ve seen both offenses capable of putting up points. There are also serious questions in regards to the third-string quarterback spot for the Bears, which means I’m anticipating them airing it out a bit more in the second half.
A total of 42 points simply seems too low in this situation, with how explosive both offenses can be and how leaky Kansas City’s second-string defense has been. The Bears will find success with the ground game as well, and the two teams will clear this low total by at least a few points.
