UCLA visits Oregon on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 3:30 p.m. ET at Autzen Stadium, where Oregon is favored by 11.5 points and has won eight straight meetings in the series.
My UCLA vs. Oregon prediction and college football picks center on whether the unbeaten Bruins can exploit a short-handed Ducks team in Eugene, with the rushing matchup driving my top play.
TOP PICK
Who will win UCLA vs Oregon: UCLA +11.5
I'm locking in my lean from earlier this week and investing in the UCLA Bruins +11.5 down to +10.5 because they have a better profile than the Oregon Ducks, who will be without starting QB Dante Moore on Saturday.
UCLA has a strength-on-weakness edge on the ground. The Bruins lead the country in yards per rush and rank 15th in yards per rush allowed on defense, while Oregon ranks 64th and 58th, respectively.
I'm buying stock in Bruins first-year head coach Bob Chesney, who coached James Madison to a cover in a loss to the Ducks in the first round of the College Football Playoff last year. With an extra week to prepare, Chesney should have his team ready for its biggest game of the season.

UCLA vs Oregon Over/Under pick: Under 59.5
As long as the Under 59.5 stays above 57.5, I'm down. The Bruins are 110th nationally in seconds per play, and their rushing advantage should help them control the pace.
Oregon's defense also grades in just the 46th percentile in Havoc rate, per GameOnPaper.com, so UCLA should be able to sustain possessions without constantly taking negative plays that create short fields for the Ducks.
Meanwhile, Oregon ranks in the 24th percentile in late-down success rate, while UCLA has a below-average red-zone touchdown rate. That creates two paths to the Under: Oregon struggling to extend drives and UCLA settling for field goals instead of touchdowns inside scoring territory.
UCLA vs Oregon combo
The Ducks can start fast without blowing the Bruins out, which is the game script I'm targeting here. Oregon may have success early with scripted plays, but UCLA's rushing advantage should help it ultimately control the pace.
A slower tempo supports the full-game Under and gives the Bruins a better chance of keeping this close. If the Ducks win the opening quarter before Chesney's team leans on the ground game and shortens the remaining possessions, all three legs can hit.
