UCLA QB prop: Nico Iamaleava Over 1.5 passing touchdowns
UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava is a former five-star recruit coming out of high school in the 2023 class, and he has as much talent as any pivot in college football. This should be a breakout year for Iamaleava after struggling with injuries last season.
Furthermore, Iamaleava can extend plays with his legs and throw while on the run, and I love this plus-money payout given how bad California's defense projects to be this season.
California QB prop: Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele Over 263.5 passing yards
Since I'm taking UCLA to win, I'm expecting California to have to play catch-up, which means Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele will have to drop back more. If it's a lopsided game, Sagapolutele can throw for more than 264 yards in garbage time.
Sagapolutele tallied 267+ passing yards in seven of his 13 games last season, and the Golden Bears had the seventh-highest passing rate in the country, according to TeamRankings.com.
