In a tale of two East Division teams trending in opposite directions, the Toronto Argonauts meet the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in an exciting Labour Day affair.

The Argos enter Week 14 as winners of three of five, while the Tiger-Cats find themselves having lost five of their last six ahead of this key home matchup.

In my Argonauts vs. Tiger-Cats predictions, I break down exactly why this is a favorable matchup for Chad Kelly and company.

With Grey Cup season rapidly approaching, check out all of our CFL picks and CFL odds ahead of this classic matchup on Monday, September 7 at 2:30 PM ET.

Who will win Argonauts vs Tiger-Cats: Argonauts -4.5 (-108)

Chad Kelly, Most Outstanding Player in 2023, has been burning defenses through the air all season long.

He's averaged 311 passing yards across two games against Hamilton this season and is approaching 4,000 for the second time in his career.

He also enters this matchup red-hot, with three passing touchdowns and a QB rating of 110 or higher in each of his last two games.

The Toronto Argonauts' second-ranked passing offense torched the Hamilton Tiger-Cats just two weeks ago, with Kelly throwing three touchdowns in a 39-20 drubbing.

The Tiger-Cats have lost five of their last six since beginning the season 3-2, with four of those losses being by five or more.

Argonauts vs Tiger-Cats total prediction: Under 58.5 (-110)

The Tiger-Cats are still without Bo Levi Mitchell and have scored the second-fewest points in the league in 2026.

These teams combined for 59 points in Week 12, but that remains the only Argos game to hit the Over in their last eight.

Their previous meeting played to a comfortable Under.

While Kelly and a pass-heavy Argos offense may carry most of the weight here, it's hard to envision a struggling Tiger-Cats offense without their star QB putting up numbers.

Toronto is averaging a hair under 30 points per gamecompared to a measly 23.3 for Hamilton. Despite the Week 12 result, this total is still set too high.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Toronto and Hamilton are 5-6 and 5-7 ATS this season, respectively.

Argonauts vs Tiger-Cats same-game parlay

Toronto's second-ranked passing offense is cruising into the late season. Kelly's 24 passing touchdowns are second in the league, and his connection with deep-ball threat Damonte Coxie has been apparent recently with five completions of 30 yards or longer in their last five games.

The Argos' recent results and pass-first offense suggest they should have little trouble covering the spread once again. Conversely, a subpar quarterback situation for the Tiger-Cats and a struggling offense overall are discouraging signs.

I think the Argos win this one handily, but ultimately these teams play to the Under.
