Brad Powers’ expert pick: Georgia +2.5

Price: 51% at Kalshi

Playable to a pick'em. Alabama has won 10 of the last 12 meetings, but Georgia dominated the Crimson Tide in last year’s SEC Championship Game, holding Alabama to minus-3 rushing yards.

With this game potentially being played in inclement weather, I like Georgia’s advantages at the line of scrimmage. The Bulldogs are plus-20 in tackle-for-loss margin (TFLs minus TFLs allowed), while Alabama is only plus-3.

Although Alabama’s rushing offense has improved this season, the Crimson Tide still rank No. 57 in line yards per rush and No. 84 in stuff rate, the percentage of rushing plays stopped at or behind the line of scrimmage. Georgia is No. 12 in both categories.

I’m backing the Bulldogs to win in Tuscaloosa for the first time since 2007.

Rob Paul’s expert pick: Under 51.5

Price: 47% at Kalshi

The weather could be a major issue for these offenses, especially with how dominant both defenses have been at times this season.

Georgia’s defense ranks No. 1 in SP+ and hasn’t allowed more than 20 points in a game. The Bulldogs are also fourth nationally in rush success rate (31.1%), which could make it difficult for Alabama to lean on the ground game in the rain.

The Crimson Tide’s defense is nearly as impressive, ranking No. 9 in both rush success rate (34.3%) and net adjusted EPA per play.

Alabama’s disruptive defense, which ranks in the top 25 nationally with a 20% havoc rate, could pose problems for Gunner Stockton. The Georgia quarterback posted just a 65.8 QBR against the Bulldogs’ only quality defensive opponent this season (Oklahoma).

Colby Marchio’s expert pick: Georgia +2.5

Price: 51% at Kalshi

Georgia is catching points against Alabama, and I’m not overthinking it. The Bulldogs have been the more complete team, especially on defense, allowing just 16 points per game while giving up fewer than 280 yards per game and 4.2 yards per play.

Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell deserves plenty of respect, but he has yet to face a defense quite like Georgia’s. Kentucky gave him trouble, holding him to 188 passing yards and intercepting him twice.

I also trust Kirby Smart more than Kalen DeBoer in a big-time matchup. Bama is in for a wake-up call.

Chris Vasile’s expert pick: Alabama moneyline

Price: 53% at Kalshi

Georgia has been the more complete team statistically, but this is the spot where I trust the Tide’s ceiling and home-field edge.

Alabama has scored at least 45 points in every game, while Keelon Russell gives them the arm talent to test a Georgia secondary that hasn’t faced this kind of offense.

Georgia hasn’t won in Tuscaloosa since 2007, and Alabama is 10-3 against the Bulldogs since then. I’ll take the Tide outright.
