It’s an SEC battle as the Texas A&M Aggies look to remain undefeated while welcoming an Auburn Tigers team seeking to rebound from a loss to Oklahoma.

My Auburn vs. Texas A&M predictions break it all down as I bring you my college football picks for Saturday, September 20.

Auburn vs Texas A&M prediction

Auburn vs Texas A&M best bet: Under 52.5 (-105)

This is mostly a repeat of my early spread preview this week. I’ve grown to love this side even more as the week has gone on, especially given the gap between my projection and the current total. I made this number an even 49, so the Under was one of the first plays I locked in.

The Auburn Tigers have struggled all season to generate much through the air, and the Texas A&M Aggies are unlikely to let the same issues Oklahoma exploited last week linger into this game.

After Jackson Arnold was sacked nine times, you can expect A&M to make protection adjustments and commit to a more controlled, clock-grinding approach that keeps him out of obvious passing downs. That naturally leans Under, especially with Auburn’s 95th-ranked EPA per play offense, which has produced plenty of stalled drives this season.

On the other side, Auburn’s defense leads the nation in rush success rate and consistently forces opponents into longer third downs, which can slow scoring even when the Aggies are the better team. Texas A&M should control the game overall, but Auburn’s defensive front, led by trench players like Keyron Crawford, will likely keep them from turning that edge into a shootout.

Both teams project to run the ball heavily, shorten possessions, and rely on drives that take time to develop. With Auburn’s offensive ceiling limited and A&M tightening things up after last week’s pass-protection nightmare, this sets up as a game where points come at a premium.

Auburn vs Texas A&M same-game parlay

The lens I’m viewing this game through is similar to the one I used for the matchup with Oklahoma. A&M is another defensive front that creates a ton of havoc at the point of attack, and I think any rushing number for Arnold above 40 yards is too much because of the sack potential.

I finished things with Marcel Reed to find paydirt. His red-zone volume makes him a nice addition.

Auburn vs Texas A&M SGP

  • Under 52.5
  • Jackson Arnold Under 43.5 rushing yards
  • Marcel Reed anytime touchdown

Our deep-ball SGP: All over the Aggies

My consensus on this matchup is that Texas A&M simply has more talent in its skill positions. I'll grab them to cover because of that, and it’s not too complicated beyond that. I’ll finish with Mario Craver to go Over his receiving yardage. The sophomore, with his team-leading yards per catch, has firmly established himself as the big-play weapon for A&M.

Auburn vs Texas A&M SGP

  • Under 52.5
  • Jackson Arnold Under 43.5 rushing yards
  • Marcel Reed anytime touchdown
  • Mario Craver Over 74.5 receiving yards
