The Cleveland Cavaliers have bounced back after a five-game slide by winning their last three in a row, and a big reason for that has been the play of center Jarrett Allen.

The Cavs’ big man has been a force on the inside since his return from an illness that caused him to miss three games in the middle of November. Allen will look to continue that dominance when the Cavs visit the upstart Washington Wizards.

The Wizards have been one of the early surprises of this NBA season. At 14-8, they currently sit in third place in the Eastern Conference heading into this matchup. While the Wiz are 3.5-point favorites for this game, one edge the Cavs will have will be on the inside with Allen.

The Wizards rank 25th in the NBA in opponent points in the paint and now must deal with a red-hot Allen. Allen has put up at least 19 points in each of his last five games, averaging 22.2 points per game while shooting a ridiculous 72.9 percent from the field over that span.

With the Wizards struggling against centers and allowing some high-scoring games lately, Allen looks like a great bet to go Over his point total in this one.

Pick: Jarrett Allen Over 15.5 Points (-115 at FanDuel)

The Brooklyn Nets are rolling, having won eight of their last 10 games, with the only two losses coming to arguably the best teams in the NBA in the Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns. And a big part of the reason the Nets are playing so well is that James Harden is in a groove.

The Nets’ guard is doing it all. Harden is averaging 21 points and 9.3 assists per game this season. But did you know he also leads Brooklyn in rebounding, hauling down 8.0 rebounds per game? Harden has been cleaning up the glass even more lately, grabbing 10 or more rebounds in four of his last six games.

Harden will get a chance to keep up those rebounding numbers when the Nets host the Minnesota Timberwolves. Despite having a guy like Karl-Anthony Towns, the T-Wolves are one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA. Minnesota ranks 24th in the Association in rebounding percentage and 27th in opponent rebounds per game.

With the Nets and T-Wolves both ranking in the Top 10 in pace, there should be plenty of opportunity for rebounds in this one and the Over on Harden’s number comes with a nice price tag.

Pick: James Harden Over 8.5 Rebounds (+110 at DraftKings)

Even though Joel Embiid has returned from his bout with COVID, the Philadelphia 76ers are still struggling. They have lost four of their last six games and now have to deal with Trae Young and the high-flying Atlanta Hawks, who have won eight of their last nine.

One place the 76ers have struggled all season long has been on the perimeter. The Sixers rank 23rd in the NBA in opponent 3-point shooting percentage, allowing them to hit 35.6 percent of their attempts. That could mean a tough night against a Hawks team that is the second-best 3-point shooting team in the Association.

Obviously, Young is the leader of the bunch for the Hawks when it comes to letting it fly from deep. The point guard is attempting 6.9 shots from beyond the arc per game, hitting at 38.8 percent. But with the Hawks' injuries recently, Young has put even more on his shoulders.

Young is attempting 8.0 threes per contest during this nine-game stretch and has upped his percentage to 43.1. On top of that, Young has hit three or more threes in 10 of his last 13 games. This is a great matchup for him to make it 11 of 14.

Pick: Trae Young Over 2.5 Made Threes (-120 at FanDuel)
