One of the fiercest rivalries in the NBA Eastern Conference continues tonight when the New York Knicks visit the Miami Heat.

New York head coach Mike Brown has implemented special actions to help his guards shoot more wide-open triples, and my Knicks vs. Heat predictions anticipate a big night from downtown for Jalen Brunson.

Read on for my NBA picks for Sunday, October 26.

Knicks vs Heat prediction

Knicks vs Heat best bet: Jalen Brunson Over 2.5 threes (+130)

Jalen Brunson is firing away from downtown, and he’ll need to make a few threes if the New York Knicks want to beat the Miami Heat.

New head coach Mike Brown has occasionally shifted Brunson out of his primary facilitator role, running actions designed to create more three-point opportunities for him.

The results speak for themselves: Brunson is attempting eight or more threes per game and converting 37.5% of them. Miami’s 3-point defense has been solid, but its fast pace leads to a league-worst 19.5 turnovers per game.

Those extra possessions, along with Brown’s schemes, should generate even more looks for Brunson, and I expect him to hit at least three long balls for the second time in three games.

Knicks vs Heat same-game parlay

New York has beaten and covered the spread against Miami in two of their last three meetings, and the combination of Brunson’s three-point shooting and the Knicks’ stout defense should help them cover as short favorites.

Seven of their previous 10 H2H matchups have gone Over the total. With Miami pushing the pace this season, Brunson and the Knicks shouldn’t mind the up-tempo game.

Extra possessions could lead to more three-point opportunities for Brunson and send this game Over the game total.

Knicks vs Heat SGP

  • Jalen Brunson Over 2.5 threes
  • Knicks -2.5
  • Over 228.5 points

Our "from downtown" SGP: Prop frenzy

Norman Powell has been solid for Miami, but New York has stifled scoring guards like Powell. He’s also failed to clear his scoring prop total in three of his previous five games.

Karl-Anthony Towns' passing out of the high post has led him to clear his assist total once this season. He’s also cleared his assist total in four of his last five games.

Knicks vs Heat SGP

  • Jalen Brunson Over 2.5 threes
  • Knicks -2.5
  • Over 228.5 points
  • Normal Powell Under 20.5 points
  • Karl-Anthony Towns Over 2.5 assists

Knicks vs Heat odds

  • Spread: New York -2.5 | Miami +2.5
  • Moneyline: New York -140 | Miami +120
  • Over/Under: Over 228.5 | Under 228.5
