The Boston Celtics will look to run their winning streak to six in a row as they visit the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night.

With Giannis Antetokounmpo out of the lineup, this is the Celtics' game to lose. My Celtics vs. Bucks predictions like Boston to cover.

Let’s break down tonight’s Eastern Conference matchup in my free NBA picks for Thursday, December 11.

Celtics vs Bucks prediction

Celtics vs Bucks best bet: Celtics -9 (-110)

After a slow start to the year as they learned to play without the injured Jayson Tatum, the Boston Celtics have caught fire.

Boston has now won seven of its last eight games, and just as importantly for bettors, they’ve managed to cover in all eight of those contests.

The Celtics have accomplished by being one of the most efficient offensive units in the NBA. Boston ranks fourth in offensive efficiency (119.0), and are averaging 117.3 ppg.

During the recent 7-1 run, the Celtics have scored a minimum of 115 points in each game, a number their opponents just haven’t been able to keep up with.

Jaylen Brown (29.1 ppg), Derrick White (17.5 ppg), and Payton Pritchard (17.1 ppg) have provided a balanced attack with plenty of weapons even without Tatum in the lineup.

The Milwaukee Bucks aren’t nearly as able to survive without their star.

Antetokounmpo is averaging 28.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game, leading Milwaukee in all three categories.

While the Bucks were a solid 9-8 with Giannis on the court, they’ve gone just 1-7 without him this season.

Those struggles should continue tonight against a Boston team playing its best basketball right now. I’m taking the Celtics to cover and win by double digits on the road.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
