Fresh off his first career grand slam, Jesus Sanchez will again be a factor for the Blue Jays offense against Eury Perez and the Marlins.

Toronto Blue Jays slugger Jesus Sanchez continues to hit the ball well, so I’ll continue to bet on his bat, especially with the Miami Marlins sending a scuffling Eury Perez to the bump.

The Blue Jays are -150 favorites to take the rubber match this afternoon.

Read on to see why I like Sanchez to continue his hot hitting with my Marlins vs. Blue Jays predictions and MLB Picks on Wednesday, May 27.

Marlins vs Blue Jays predictions

Marlins vs Blue Jays best bet: Jesus Sanchez Over 0.5 hits (-140)

Nobody in the Toronto Blue Jays lineup is swinging as hot a bat as Jesus Sanchez right now, and -140 to record a hit is a price I can’t pass up.

He’s eclipsed his 0.5 hits total in 13 of 16 games, batting .409 in that stretch, and is fresh off his first career grand slam on Tuesday night.

Miami Marlins right-hander Eury Perez is 3-6 with a lowly 4.91 ERA, while ranking in the 18th percentile in xERA (5.10).

Additionally, Sanchez owns a .305 batting average against the four-seam fastball, which has a 51% usage rate for Perez against left-handed batters.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Sanchez ranks in the 92nd percentile with a .291 xBA, adding more reason for taking the Over on his hits prop tonight.

Marlins vs Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)

Riding a nine-game hitting streak, Ernie Clement is just as hot as Sanchez, so I’ll add Over 0.5 hits for the Jays' middle-infielder to my SGP.

I’ll also add Under 2.5 earned runs for Kevin Gausman. He's been Mr. Consistent for Toronto, going Under this total in five of his last seven starts. He also owns a .167 opponent batting average against this Marlins lineup.

Marlins vs Blue Jays SGP

  • Jesus Sanchez Over 0.5 hits
  • Ernie Clement Over 0.5 hits
  • Kevin Gausman Under 2.5 earned runs

Marlins vs Blue Jays home run pick: Jesus Sanchez (+500)

The power is starting to come for Toronto with six home runs over its last five games.

Additionally, Perez has surrendered five home runs over his last four outings.

So we should see some fireworks down at the dome tonight, and I’m banking on Sanchez to go yard again after his first grand slam last night.

Perez throws the ball fairly hard, which results in a lot of hard contact against him. Sanchez has been swinging the bat really well, with a .306 batting average against the four-seamer with a 43% hard-hit rate, resulting in four XBH in his last five games.
