Kamilla Cardoso is quickly becoming one of the most dominant inside forces in the WNBA. The Chicago Sky's 6-foot-7 center faces a Toronto team short on interior size and Jason Logan likes Cardoso to drop a double-double on the Tempo tonight.

Chicago Sky center Kamilla Cardoso is a tall task for any foe and even more so for a Toronto Tempo team missing size inside.

The 6-foot-7 Cardoso is averaging almost 15 points and 10 rebounds and now playing a bigger role in the wake of Rickea Jackson's season-ending knee injury.

Toronto is also dealing with injuries, playing without center Temi Fagbenle among other frontcourt pieces, leaving its defense to get pushed around in the paint.

Our Tempo vs. Sky predictions have Cardoso pegged for another colossal contest with my WNBA picks calling for her fourth double-double of the year.

Tempo vs Sky prediction

Tempo vs Sky best bet: Kamilla Cardoso Double-Double (-125)

Chicago Sky center Kamilla Cardoso has been on a tear the past three games.

She recorded back-to-back double-doubles before foul trouble limited her to 23 minutes versus Minnesota. She still recorded 17 points and seven rebounds in limited action.

The Toronto Tempo have lost two straight outings with interior defense as a glaring weakness.

Toronto is missing size with Temi Fagbenle and Isabelle Harrison out, leaving it to rank last in rebound rate, 14th in PITP allowed, and 13th in opponent second-chance points.

Cardoso pokes those soft spots and books aren't adjusting enough for her uptick in touches and rebound chances in Jackson's absence.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Cardoso is 10th in points in the paint (10.7) and sixth in second-chance points (4.2) while sitting third in offensive rebounds (3.5).

Tempo vs Sky same-game parlay

The Sky enter this game as 5.5-point favorites but have some missing pieces, especially with Rickea Jackson going down with a season-ending knee injury. Chicago has enjoyed a rare extended break to rest and practice after the schedule forced it into tight turnarounds, with five games in 10 days. The Tempo are back on the road and frantically trying to find solutions for a lack of interior toughness. I'll take the Sky to win outright but this could be a closer contest.

Cardoso scored 17 points in just 23 minutes versus Minnesota and is shooting 19 for 28 (68%) over the past three games, while also getting to the foul line 18 times in those outings (hitting 14 of those FTAs). She’s dominating at the rim and faces a Tempo defense allowing a ton of points in the paint. Projections sit closer to 17 points for Cardoso tonight.

The 6-foot-7 Sky center towers over Toronto, whose tallest active player (6-foot-5 Nyara Sabally) was on a minutes restriction due to a neck injury. This has the Tempo getting pounded on the glass (dead last in rebound rate) and allowing 25 total offensive rebound the last two games. Cardoso is among the best rebounders in the WNBA and forecasted for 10+ boards tonight.

Tempo vs Sky first basket scorer: Kamilla Cardoso (+350)

Given the height advantage, Cardoso controls the opening tip and gets the ball back to bully Toronto inside right from the get-go. She’s opened scoring for the Sky in two of their six games and can find the bucket either in the post or wrangling an offensive rebound for a putback.
