Look for the offenses to run wild at Target Center, with the Timberwolves cashing in against a leaky Bucks defense.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are still trying to fill the void left by Anthony Edwards, but tonight's matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks should help their offense hit top gear.

Minnesota enters as an 11.5-point favorite against Milwaukee's shaky defense, and my Bucks vs Timberwolves predictions back the Over as two of the NBA's leading run-and-gun squads square off at Target Center.

Take a closer look at this Monday, Nov. 2 matchup with my free NBA picks ahead of the 8 p.m. ET tip-off.

 TOP PICK
Bucks vs Timberwolves prediction: Over 233.5

The entire Milwaukee Bucks roster is auditioning for future roles, but defense has been lacking on most resumes this season. The Bucks are coughing up 126.2 PPG (third-most in the league), and the Over is 5-1 through their first six outings.

Pair Milwaukee with a Minnesota Timberwolves team that's posted an eFG% of 55.7 (seventh-best), and you have the ingredients for a shootout tonight. Both squads rank in the top five in FGA per game, and Minnesota has hit the Over in all three contests since Anthony Edwards was ruled out for knee surgery.

The Timberwolves average 15 made 3-pointers per game, with the Bucks just behind at 14.5, and Milwaukee's bench is stacked with poor defenders for LaMelo Ball and Jaden McDaniels to target. I'd play this up to 234.5 and 56%.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The scoreboard should be busy tonight — the Timberwolves and Bucks both rank in the top 10 in pace this season, while Minnesota is tied for first in total possessions (724) through seven games.

Bucks vs Timberwolves combo

Look for the Timberwolves to do most of the heavy lifting for this Over. They're off to a 6-1 ATS start, while the Bucks arrive on the heels of back-to-back losses by 25+ points.

Minnesota is well-suited to racking up points in transition, ranking in the top 10 in points off turnovers, with Ball leading the break. I expect the hosts' defensive principles to kick in by the fourth quarter, helping them cover this large spread.

With McDaniels leveling up, the Timberwolves have an obvious place to divert some of Edwards' shots. McDaniels has hit this Over in his past three games, and you can pencil him in for 15+ FGA tonight, especially if he gets Tyler Herro in his sights.

Bucks vs Timberwolves combo

  • Over 233.5
  • Timberwolves -11.5
  • Jaden McDaniels Over 17.5 points

Bucks vs Timberwolves player props

Bucks player prop: Jaime Jaquez Jr. Over 7.5 rebounds + assists

The Bucks have a glut of wings, but Jaime Jaquez Jr. isn't likely to relinquish his grip on a starting role. While his scoring has been up and down, the rest of his game provides a solid floor for this prop.

Jaquez Jr. has hit this Over in four of his six outings with Milwaukee, and he could cash this on boards alone (7.2 RPG).

Don't sleep on his passing, either — he's dished out 4+ assists in three of his last five contests.

Timberwolves player prop: LaMelo Ball Over 6.5 assists

Ball looked rock-solid next to Edwards to start the year, but he's been more erratic without him. Still, tonight offers a chance to pad his assist tally in a high-scoring matchup, and I'm grabbing the Over.

He's dished out 7+ assists in three of his last five games, and now he faces a woeful Milwaukee defense that allowed 130+ points twice last week.

Ball should particularly feast against this Bucks bench, which includes rookies Nate Ament and Brayden Burries.
