With their highly publicized starting five paying big dividends early, the 76ers look to build on a blistering 6-1 start at home Monday night against a reeling Bulls squad that's won just once in six games to open the new season.

A Philadelphia 76ers team already reaping the benefits of its prize offseason acquisitions faces off against a Chicago Bulls squad that's dropped four straight games and is once again struggling on defense.

My Bulls vs. 76ers prediction backs Philadelphia to make good on its hefty home-favorite status and cover the double-digit spread.

Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. ET at Xfinity Mobile Arena, with Philadelphia listed as a 10.5-point home favorite.

TOP PICK
Bulls vs. 76ers prediction: 76ers -10.5

Play to -11.5.

While the Philadelphia 76ers have been in plenty of close games to date, they've been able to grind out victories against the likes of the Knicks (twice), Cavs, and an improved Hornets squad. Philly also notched an 11-point win over the lowly Bucks, and the Chicago Bulls check in with an Eastern Conference-worst -21.3-point average scoring margin on the road.

Chicago is surrendering a league-high 129.3 points per game, including 129.8 per contest on the road, while the 76ers have unsurprisingly played excellent defense, surrendering the second-fewest points in the NBA (104.9), including just 102 per game over their last three contests.

The Sixers are back to a full starting five, as LeBron James (back) returns from a one-game absence.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Bulls have failed to cover the spread in eight of their last nine games as road underdogs against Eastern Conference opponents.

Bulls vs. 76ers combo

Philly recorded an 11-point win over the lowly Bucks in its one game against an opponent of a similar caliber to the Bulls.

The Bulls have surrendered the third-most first-half points per game (64.7). They also average an NBA-high 111.0 possessions per game and 55.3 points over the first two quarters, factors that should help generate significantly more first-half offense than the Sixers are accustomed to allowing.

Bulls vs. 76ers player props

Bulls player prop: Caleb Wilson 30+ points + rebounds + assists

Caleb Wilson has hit the ground running at the NBA level, averaging 30.4 points + rebounds + assists across 34.2 minutes per game while putting up 23.5 field-goal + free-throw attempts per contest. The rookie fourth overall pick's numbers are even better when factoring out Opening Night, as Wilson is averaging 32.4 PRA over his last five games while taking at least five shots from deep in every contest.

The matchup against the 76ers' frontcourt is anything but appealing, but Wilson's ability to space the floor will help him avoid the likes of Joel Embiid down low on occasion. Meanwhile, the Bulls' pace of play should continue to create additional opportunities for him to stuff the stat sheet.

76ers player prop: Tyrese Maxey 35+ points + rebounds + assists

Tyrese Maxey has been the most consistent all-around cog in the 76ers' star-studded engine, averaging 38.1 points + rebounds + assists across 37.6 minutes per contest. He's shooting a career-best 48.6% as well, and despite the large spread implying we could see some shortened minutes for top players, the Bulls' league-high pace of play gives Maxey plenty of opportunities to cash the Over.

The Bulls have also been particularly vulnerable to point guard production to start the season, allowing an NBA-high 38.8 offensive efficiency rating to the position, along with NBA-high marks in overall shooting (51.6%) and 3-point shooting (50.7%). Chicago also ranks No. 26 in assists per game (10.7) allowed to point guards, further strengthening Maxey's case.
