Victor Wembanyama will flourish against a depleted Jazz frontcourt, dropping at least 25 points on Lauri Markkanen & Co.

Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs are heavy 15.5-point home favorites as the Utah Jazz come to town tonight. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET from Frost Bank Center.

While I don't doubt that San Antonio will win, my Jazz vs. Spurs prediction backs Utah against the spread.

Find out more in my NBA picks for Monday, Nov. 2.

Jazz vs Spurs prediction: Jazz +15.5

Play up to 55%.

The Utah Jazz are by no means a thriving team, sitting at 1-5. They've lost four in a row, but the Jazz have only dropped two of those games by 16 or more points.

They also took the San Antonio Spurs to overtime on Oct. 29, eventually losing by just six points. Utah also didn't have Lauri Markkanen, its best player, in the lineup for that game.

The Finnish star is healthy enough to suit up tonight, which will make a clear difference in the Jazz's ability to stay within the number.

The Spurs have also covered this spread in just two of their four victories in 2026-27. Utah is worth a legitimate look ATS.

Jazz vs Spurs player props

 TOP PICK
Spurs player prop: Victor Wembanyama Over 24.5 points

Play up to 65%.

My top pick is targeting Victor Wembanyama to erupt offensively. He's cleared this number in three straight outings, scoring 43 against the Timberwolves a couple of nights ago. Wemby also dropped 36 on the Jazz last week, fully taking advantage of their depleted frontcourt.

The Spurs center appears to be finding his groove offensively, and his shot volume reflects that. He's taken 34, 25, and 21 shots over his last three contests, shooting at least 50% in each game.

Without Jaren Jackson Jr. or Jusuf Nurkic available, Wembanyama won't have any trouble cooking the Jazz, who will struggle with his length and physicality inside.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Jazz are allowing nearly 50 points per game in the paint. That's a recipe for disaster against Wemby, who does most of his scoring around the hoop.

Jazz player prop: Darryn Peterson Over 14.5 points

Play up to 48%.

The Jazz have received solid contributions from rookie Darryn Peterson, who's averaging 13.3 PPG while starting all six games. The Kansas product has cashed the Over in back-to-back appearances, scoring 16 points against the Blazers and 18 against the Spurs last week.

He's also getting a decent workload with a 21.7% usage rate that ranks third among Utah's starters. San Antonio hasn't been great at defending opposing shooting guards, allowing 20.4 points per contest to the position.

I'll take Peterson for another 15+ performance.

Jazz vs Spurs combo

I'm liking the Under here. Utah is averaging just 108.7 points per game, while San Antonio is allowing 110.2, and neither team plays particularly fast.

Their meeting last week finished with just 228 points despite going to OT. The Jazz's shorthanded frontcourt should also make efficient scoring difficult against Wembanyama.

Speaking of Wemby, I expect him to dominate on the boards. He had 14 rebounds in last week's clash with the Jazz, and the absences of JJJ and Nurkic make this a more favorable matchup for the big man. Utah is also allowing 13.8 boards per night to opposing centers.
