The Milwaukee Brewers host the Boston Red Sox in MLB action on Tuesday night. Boston struggled at the dish last night in a 3-2 loss, but my Red Sox vs Brewers predictions are betting on Rafael Devers to come up big tonight.
Here are my best free MLB picks for this interleague clash on May 27.
Red Sox vs Brewers prediction
My Red Sox vs Brewers best bet: Rafael Devers Over 1.5 H/R/R (-105 at bet365)
The Milwaukee Brewers will start Aaron Civale, who returned to the mound last Thursday after missing nearly two months due to a hamstring injury. Civale allowed four hits and a pair of runs across four innings in his return.
Civale logged a 4.36 ERA in 31 starts with the Brewers and Guardians last year. I don't have much faith in Civale or a Milwaukee bullpen that is 24th in the majors in ERA (4.71).
The Boston Red Sox have struggled at the plate over the last few games, and they lost Alex Bregman to an injury last weekend. That said, Rafael Devers continues to look like one of the best hitters in the world.
Devers is fourth in the majors in hard-hit rate, while ranking 13th in adjusted velocity and barrel rate. The three-time All-Star is slashing .375/.486/.670 this month and will have the platoon advantage against Civale.
The wind is also blowing towards the rightfield fence at 10mph, which will benefit a left-handed hitter like Devers, who tends to pull the ball. This is a five-star prop play according to THE BAT X, which is projecting 2.2 hits, runs, and RBIs for Devers tonight.

Red Sox vs Brewers same-game parlay (SGP)
Jarren Duran has picked up a hit in 11 of his last 13 games, and he's batting .389 over that span. He has the platoon advantage against Civale and has gone 4-8 against him in his career.
Boston has yet to announce a starter for tonight, but it's expected to be Cooper Criswell. Criswell had a 4.08 ERA in 99 1/3 innings last season but has logged just 4 1/3 innings (all in relief) in the bigs this year.
That said, he has been sharp at Triple-A Worcester, where he has pitched to a 1.82 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP across five starts. Don't be surprised if he gets the job done against a struggling Milwaukee lineup. The Brewers are 25th in the majors in OPS (.664), with that number plummeting to just .612 this month.
