I’ve dug into key trends, locked in my best bet, and even cooked up a long-shot same-game parlay for tonight's event.

MLB All-Star Game prediction
My All-Star Game best bet: Result After 2nd Inning - American League (+190 at Caesars)
There are two prominent betting trends when it comes to the MLB All-Star Game, starting with the fact that the American League has dominated, going 22-4-1 in the last 26 meetings, and winning 10 of the last 11.
Second, pitching has thrived, with the Under going 14-4 in the last 18.
I would say the second trend holds a little more water these days, and, as the old saying goes, great pitching beats great hitting.
And we’ll immediately see great pitching as the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Paul Skenes makes his second straight All-Star Game start for the National League and the AL counters with Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal.
Both have been dominant, and I would not be shocked to see a scoreless first inning with multiple strikeouts. Unfortunately, those markets are all juiced to hell.
Luckily, NL manager Dave Roberts has given us some breadcrumbs for what’s to come following Skenes, saying Monday that he plans to use Los Angeles Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw in the second.
Now, Kershaw is a future Hall of Famer, but he is in Atlanta as a "Legends" selection because his best stuff is behind him.
Kershaw has made 10 starts this season and ranks in the 45th percentile in expected ERA and the 27th in expected batting average.
He’s also getting hit hard and not striking out a ton of dudes, ranking in the 25th percentile in average exit velocity, the 13th in hard-hit percentage, and the 14th in strikeout rate. Not great numbers when navigating a lineup of elite bats.
You have to get creative with All-Star markets, and that’s what we’ll do here. Take the AL to jump on Kershaw and hold the lead after the second inning at nice plus money.
MLB All-Star Game same-game parlay (SGP)
Let’s start this All-Star same-game parlay with a NRFI (no runs first inning), which will make the SGP algorithm go wonky when combined with the AL to lead after the second inning.
The thinking here is simple. Both starters have been nearly unhittable. Skenes has a 2.48 xERA and a 27.9% K-rate, while Skubal owns a 2.43 xERA and a 33.4% K-rate.
Once the starters exit, things should open up a bit. There are a lot of really good pitchers for both sides not throwing tonight. For the AL that includes Hunter Brown, Garrett Crochet, Jacob deGrom, and Max Fried. For the NL, Ferry Peralta, Robbie Ray, Chris Sale, Zack Wheeler, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto will all sit this one out.
It’s supposed to be a warm night in Atlanta, and we saw how the ball carried in Monday night’s Home Run Derby, so let’s add Over 2.5 total home runs in the game to this SGP for a big payout!
